For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Well, it has been nearly an hour since we were stopped by the police and no other trouble has arrived. However, we are going to drive off onto some country roads again for a while, it should be safer that way, hopefully anyway. But, we then heard something on the news that was definitely bad for us. Apparently a Captain stole some military secrets and then left Russia with the help of foreigners and headed south to Kazakhstan.
They are driving in 4 vans, either black or light yellow, with the name of a Russian tour group on the side of one van. There are a large number of women, who are actually trained and armed soldiers and people are told to stay away from them and call the police if they see these vans. They even mentioned the name of the city we are heading for, and that is not good. Now we need a quick change in plans, but first, a good place to hide these vans.
It didn’t take long to find a large grove of trees where we could hide for a while. But driving through the long grass certainly made a visible trail, so we went back and tried to hide that fact. After we were finished it looked amazingly good again, like we had never driven through the grass. Next, we held a leaders meeting which included Jennifer, Misty, Sky, Rock and myself. Rock isn’t a team leader really, but I wanted his input anyway. Next we will have a whole team meeting to decide what to do.
I included Kat and Aari as well, but Kat thought that might be dangerous, we might be trackable while using our communicators over long distances like this. So, we changed that and I just communicated with Kat as we talked here. However, there just didn’t seem to be an easy solution to our problem. With so many of us we needed a lot of transportation. Jennifer asked if Sky should take Yana and Anya away now so that they are not in danger. Sky said she needed to know exactly where we are in order to get back home, otherwise they could end up as nothing, kind of lost in space, so to speak.
That’s why on the plane, when she took others away, I had to call her back, because the plane had moved it’s position. She can go anywhere I am, if I call her, but otherwise, she needs exact positioning to go places. So much for that idea. But, we do need to get rid of these vans and get other transportation. But cars would be out of the question, we would need too many of them. Then Kat suggested a bus, but how do we steal a bus so no one would know about it?
“Transportation!” exclaimed Sky and she shot some electricity at the vehicle. “Hmm, I never expected to see one of those around here,” I said, “it just might work.” “What do you mean, it might work?” asked Sky, “It’s perfect for heading to the sea.” Astrid and I walked over to the motorhome to talk with the people. Astrid knows the language and she pretended to be my wife and she told this couple that I was not able to talk. It was indeed a nice large one too and only a man and his wife inside.
They were soon sleeping peacefully at the back of this home on wheels and we were heading to the same city as before, which is where this couple were also going. We will just ensure they keep sleeping until we get there and then leave them in the airport parking lot. Hopefully we won’t get stopped by the police again. Rock is now our driver, he enjoys driving anything big. We were now back on the main highway and soon we had to stop for petrol, since we were nearly out.
Unfortunately, as Astrid was paying, the man noticed her credit card and he said that motorhome looked just like the one owned by some people he knows that don’t leave far from there. So she mentioned their name and he said that was it, but he wondered why she was with them. It was at that point that he fell asleep so Astrid and Sky propped him up on a chair behind the counter and off we went. Fortunately no one else was present at the time, at least, that is what we thought.
But, as we drove away, another man came out the door and watched us leave, then he made a phone call. It wasn’t long after that we came to a detour, something I didn’t like, but we had no choice and so we followed the signs and drove down yet another country road for about half an hour. Then we came to another road block of sorts. It was an old style hay wagon, pulled by horses, but it had tipped over and blocked the whole road.
Hmm, this could take a while. “We might have to help them Rock,” I said, so out we went. We joined the four men at the wagon and Astrid asked if her husband and brother could help. Then a man came out from behind the wagon, and about 30 men with him, all armed. I immediately recognized the man in charge, it was Papa Levi!
