For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Jazzy had gone outside to pick some flowers from her garden to bring inside, something she likes to do. Our girls like doing that back home too. I had sent four of the girls out with Jazzy to help protect her, including Kristina who would stay especially close to Jazzy, just in case. Unfortunately Jazzy turned suddenly while Kristina was watching across the street because something had caught her eye, a little movement by one of the shrubs in the yard of the house directly across the street. That’s when the shooting started as men jumped out from behind the shrubs.
Sky was outside first throwing her lightning balls and our girls were shooting! Two men tried to run alongside the house across the street but Sky overtook them quickly hitting them both with a bolt of electricity. She went around the house and spotted two more men at the back guarding the motorcycles. She killed the one but allowed the other to escape after she yelled at him to tell his Dog leader to stay away from Jazzy or none of them would be left alive.
She then came back after destroying the remaining motorcycles. Two of our girls had been shot, but only wounded, so I asked Sky to take them back to our clinic and bring back two others to replace them from Dawn’s team. A bullet had just grazed Jazzy’s arm so we could look after her here even though I thought it would be better to send her home as well. She just gave me a look that told me she wouldn’t listen to reason. Sigh.
Meanwhile, back home. Misty was lying flat on her back, arms hanging over the bed. “There you are,” said Cristy, “Steffie has been looking for you.” “How can one little 5 year old have so much energy?” asked Misty, “Wait, is she with you?” “No, I’m not sure where she is at the moment,” said Cristy, “I’m just helping her look for you.” “Quick, lock the door!” said Misty, “You never saw me!” “We don’t have a lock on the door, remember?” said Cristy, “Besides, Steffie loves her auntie Misty.”
“That’s not fair saying it like that,” said Misty, “you might make me feel bad.” “Well, if you really want a break,” said Cristy, “why don’t you hide in the den, Steffie doesn’t know about that spot yet.” Misty’s eyes suddenly popped wide open. “Yes! That’s it!” she said excitedly, and down she went, quickly going into the den and locking the door. “There, perfect privacy,” she said, “look at this blanket, all messed up.” She grabbed the blanket. “Surprise!” yelled Steffie, “Love this hidey place!”
Then she jumped on Misty and began to tickle her. Seems one of the girls told Steffie that Misty loves being tickled. Poor Misty, she was laughing uncontrollably. Jennifer came in just then and heard the laughing and asked Cristy what was going on. “Misty and Steffie are playing in the den,” said Cristy smiling. “Wow, I didn’t think Misty would ever tell Steffie about your den,” said Jennifer, “but I’m sure glad that the two of them are having such fun together.” However, Jennifer went in and said it was time to play with the other kids for a while. Cristy then dragged Misty out and put her on her own bed again. “How did she find out?” asked Misty weakly. “She’s a five year old,” said Cristy.
Meanwhile, back to Jazzy’s house. Sky just returned with Charlotte and Emily. If that hit man, Ernst, didn’t succeed, then our snipers would. At the Dog Dragons clubhouse the lone survivor of the attack on Jazzy just returned and told Klaus what had happened, at least as much as he knew, which wasn’t really much except no one else came back. The Black Wolves were already in place at the clubhouse too and I had told Aari what had just happened.
The Dog Dragons had three cameras at the front of their clubhouse but because everyone inside was busy listening to their man who had just returned, the man monitoring the cameras didn’t see the Wolves send a man close and he shot one of our camera gadgets at one of the cameras, which effectively disconnected all three. “Hey Klaus,” said a man, “our outside cameras aren’t working.” Suddenly there was a loud bang and crash as Rock came smashing his way through the front door with all the Wolves behind him.
Carine went in along with Rock to make sure no one shot him and all the Dogs were found together in a large room on the main floor. The fight began! I told Aari to make sure he shot 4 of the Dogs, but just to wound them and to shoot their leader in the arm for Jazzy. Burk held onto Klaus while his men were pounded by the Wolves. Finally Aari shot 4 of the Dogs, each in the leg, then he turned his gun toward Klaus who tried to persuade Aari they were on the same side going after Jazzy.
“No, you work for Schultz,” said Aari, “and I told you before, stay away from him if you want to stay healthy, but you didn’t listen to me. We might want Jazzy, but our boss also wants Schultz and what Koffman wants, Koffman gets.” He then shot Klaus in the arm. Then the Black Wolves searched around taking guns, knives and drugs and they quickly left. Later Klaus called Schultz. “That’s what he said,” reported Klaus, “they work for Koffman and they are out to get you and Jazzy.”
“Why did I ever trust that idiot?” asked Schultz, “He’s ruining me and now he wants to kill me and take over everything! Well, I’ll show him it won’t be that easy to get rid of me!” He then went out to his car with some of his men to go eat dinner at his favorite restaurant. But as he was walking down the steps there was a single shot and Schultz fell to the ground. He was dead. “That was an easy million euros,” Ernst thought to himself.
He was on the roof of a house across the street and he quickly came down and ran to the next street where he had parked his car. He tossed his rifle onto the back seat and closed the door, but then he looked around and found himself surrounded by police officers. It seems someone tipped them off, I wonder who could have done that? “You’re terrible Steve,” said Jazzy, “but I like the way you do things.”
