The Investigators, Inc. The Widow’s Case. Chapter 9. Fighting.

Well, here we are, still locked in our room at Fiske’s nightclub and we haven’t really learned anything important from Fiske. However, Venus has given us some interesting information and she knows that Friskie and I are not married, and that my wife is actually Jennifer. She also told me that she has not told anyone about that. She doesn’t like Fiske, or Sandra either and she also does not like someone else that we know, and that man is Christopher. We thought he had been killed a long time ago, but apparently he wasn’t.

That’s both good and bad to know about. He is a dangerous man. Venus said that Sandra is the girlfriend of both Christopher and Oliver (Fiske). She said it was Fiske who did the drawing of me with the Raven on my head and that he plans to kill me and as many of our team as he can. It’s actually Christopher’s plan, but Oliver likes to take credit for it, something that angers Christopher. But Sandra is keeping him in control for now until they don’t need Fiske any longer.

Venus is sure that Sandra likes Christopher much more than Oliver, but right now he has the money and men that they need. Venus also warned us to be careful, these three people are very dangerous together and Sandra is the worst of the bunch. She also said not to underestimate the strength of Wong and Wang, they have killed bigger men than themselves with their bare hands. “Well I…” Friskie began to say. “Will definitely remember that good advice,” I finished for her. She just looked at me. “I mean, I can usually…” she began again. “Handle herself quite well,” I finished for her.

She just looked at me. “That’s why I spent all that time and effort learning how to fight properly so that I could protect myself and Steve when it was necessary!” said Friskie amazingly fast. “Wow!” said Venus, “I have never heard anyone talk that fast before.” “I have had to learn how to talk fast at times so that I can finish my own sentences,” said Friskie, rolling her eyes a bit. Venus giggled a little. “Ooh, don’t make me laugh,” she said, “it hurts.” “Okay you two, quiet for a minute,” I said. Then I said Sky’s name, but nothing happened.

Meanwhile, “Hey everyone, be quiet please,” said Sky, “I think Steve is trying to call me.” “That means he’s hurt,” said Jennifer, “someone is going to be in big trouble when Steve gets through to you!” “Must we have these handcuffs on?” asked Sky, “Every time one of us wants to move, all 3 of us have to move.” “I thought we already decided on this?” asked Amerie. “You two decided,” said Sky, “I didn’t get to vote.” The other girls were starting to giggle now. “Besides, we are not sleeping right now,” added Sky. “That reminds me,” said Amerie, “you are a ghost, why sleep?”

“Because I like to, that’s why,” she replied frowning, “and I will be stuck in the middle while we sleep.” Jennifer sighed and sat down on a chair causing Sky and Amerie to fall on the floor. “Oops, sorry girls,” said Jennifer. The other girls were laughing so hard now their stomachs were starting to ache. Sky and Amerie got to their feet again and all three sat on the bed. “I am going to soak your bed with water when we get home,” Sky said to Amerie. “You said that before,” she replied. “Then I will do it twice, with you in bed,” she said again, frowning. The other girls were still laughing.

Then Sky and Amerie looked at each other with a mischievous smile and gave a single nod to one another. “I saw that,” said Jennifer, “concentrate on the case at hand first.” “Absolutely,” they said at the same time. Kitty then released them from their handcuffs and they suddenly disappeared. Back to us, Jennifer, Sky and Amerie appeared in our room, but remained invisible, except to us. Venus could also see them, but said nothing. Just then our door was unlocked and in came Stanley with 2 other men plus Wang and Wong. Wong pointed at Venus and told her to come to him.

“Please Steve, don’t let them hurt me again, please!” she pleaded. “They will not hurt you again Venus,” I said. Jennifer recognized Venus right away. “Don’t worry Venus,” she said, “these beasts won’t touch you anymore.” That’s when she made herself visible, as did Amerie. “Hey Stanley, where did those women come from?” asked one of the men. “I have no idea,” he said, “but they will regret coming in here.” “You’re the ones who will regret coming in here,” said Jennifer. “I want Wong,” said Friskie, “he beat up Misty. Wang beat up Venus.”

“Then I definitely want Wang,” said Jennifer. “I will take the chubby one, he looks like fun,” said Amerie, speaking of Stanley. Sky made sure the men’s guns became hot, then she sat down on the bed beside Venus and put her arm around her. “Okay Wong, you coward,” said Friskie, “let’s see how you do fighting a woman that can fight back!” Wong went into action, hitting and kicking Friskie amazingly fast, finally knocking her flat on her back. “C’mon Friskie, go get him!” yelled Sky, “Don’t let him get away with that!”

Meanwhile, “Where did those other women come from?” asked Sandra. “How should I know?” asked Fiske in return, “But don’t worry, Wong and Wang will take care of them.” Back to us. “Come here Wang,” said Jennifer, “I want you to feel what it’s like to get beat up.” He went after Jennifer, hitting and kicking while she just stood there. Then she went into action, hitting and kicking Wang, knocking him against the wall, then 2 fast kicks to his stomach and he slid to the floor groaning. One more kick to his head and he was dead. Amerie was having lots of fun with Stanley, bouncing him around, kicking him time and time again until he finally was lying on the floor, out cold.

The other two men were about to escape, but Sky suddenly appeared in front of the door and putting her hands on their chests, tossed them against the far wall of the room. She then came back to sit next to Venus. “You’re just like Jennifer, aren’t you?” asked Venus. “Nope, Jennifer is stronger than me,” she said with a smile. Friskie then went into action, pounding Wong with her feet until he fell flat on the floor, dead. We then went running to the office where Fiske and Sandra were still waiting, with 4 other men, all with guns. People don’t learn easily sometimes.

They dropped their guns rather quickly though, screaming in the process! “Where is your safe?” I asked Fiske. “I would rather die!” he exclaimed. “I’ll kill Sandra instead,” I told him. “NO!” she screamed, “It’s behind that bookcase!” “Idiot!” he yelled and he threw her head first against his brick wall and she collapsed onto the floor. I grabbed him while Jennifer and Sky disposed of the other men and Friskie guarded Venus. “Open the safe,” I told him, “or you’ll be next to die.”

When he saw that he was now alone, he decided to open it for us. He then spit in my face, but that was too much for Amerie, so she spit in his face, then began to punch and kick him repeatedly until he fell to the floor. We filled up 3 briefcases, then Sky began to take us out of here, beginning with Amerie and Venus. Jennifer and I were last. “Hey, no kissing until we get back home you two!” exclaimed Sky as she touched us and we disappeared…
