The Investigators, Inc. The Year End Case. Chapter 3. Mandar Comes.

Sky now had a problem, what can she do? She did not know how to call Baldwin, only I knew that. And all the team left their phones behind, at my suggestion, so they could not be disturbed over Christmas. Sky did not know any other way to contact them. That had Sky and Kristina very worried. “Who else might you try?” asked Chung. “I am not sure what to do Chung,” said Sky, “I guess I am too young to handle this kind of responsibility.

Maybe Steve is making a mistake marrying me.” “Do not be so hard on yourself miss Sky,” said Chung, “this would be hard for anyone. But Steve does not make a mistake to marry you, he knows. Just be calm, you can do this, I believe you can think of someone or some way. Now I must go again.” “Mandar!” said Sky, “I know how to contact him!” And she did so right away. “I just hope he has not changed his phone number again,” she said. But he had done so.

Nevertheless, he always keeps track of his old number for a while, just in case something important shows up. “Phone call on your old number,” said a man to Mandar, “from a woman named Sky.” “Oh, put her through to me right away,” said Mandar, “hello my dear Sky, a Merry Christmas to you!” “It is not such a merry Christmas Mandar,” she said sadly. “What is the problem, please tell me,” he said anxiously.

Sky then explained what had happened that evening. “Oh my, oh my, that is terrible news,” he said, “I will come at once and help you. Tell Chung I will bring my personal doctor along to help him, plus I will bring my security people too. You must stay at that clinic, do not go outside at all. Do you have any idea how to contact the others?” “No, there is not way to contact them,” she said, “Mr. B. only told Steve where he would be staying.

And all the others left their phones here so they would not be disturbed during Christmas. I do not know the names of the parents where all of them went, except for Rock’s parents.” “Give me their names, quickly,” said Mandar. Sky did so and he hung up after reassuring Sky again that they would arrive soon. “Find these people,” Mandar said to Phil, one of his men. “There could be hundreds with that name,” said Phil.

“I do not care if there are thousands,” said Mandar, “call each one until you find Rock.” Mandar then called Gerald, his most trusted security chief and told him to get men ready to leave right away, and to call his doctor as well. They were all soon in the air and landed at the nearest airport which was still a 45 minute drive. Meanwhile, Chung came out with the sad news that Sephira did not make it. That did not make the girls feel good at all.

They looked at the clock. It was likely still an hour before Mandar arrived. Will the doctor be here in time? Even if they could get in touch with Rock, it would be at least 24 hours before he could get back here. Plus, he would not be able to get in touch with anyone else either, unless he knew the names of their parents. Things were just not looking good. Their best hope right now is getting help from Mandar. Both girls were very thankful he was able to come right away, and that he had a doctor to bring along.

Then Sky thought about something else…the cats! They were alone at the chateau! “We have to get the cats,” said Sky. “No, Mandar said to wait here until he gets here,” said Kristina, “the cats will be okay, no one can get into the chateau, and they have food and water.” “Hmm, you are right,” said Sky sighing, “I am just getting upset again. Okay, time to breathe and calm down so I can think clearly.”

Kristina was thinking too, why had the cats not called them? She did not want to say this out loud though, she knew it would worry Sky. But they were so late coming home, normally the cats would have called to find out why. She did not like the thought of that. She looked over at Sky, but she was on the phone again. Who could she be calling?

“I thought of Rossana,” said Sky, “but she is home for Christmas too, and no one will call her for me.” “We should get her private number,” said Kristina. “We have it, or at least, Steve has it,” she replied, “if only they had not shot his phone, we would not have all these problems. Well, Mandar should be showing up soon.”

He had called from the airport, so they would know when to expect him. Soon he and his men were at the clinic and Mandar deployed some outside to watch all around the clinic, others came inside. Both Sky and Kristina ran over to Mandar to hug him. “Oh my, such a welcome!” he said smiling, “now, this is Doctor Waltham.” Chung took the doctor to the room with the girls.

Steve and Muffin’s Year End Pics. #5

Hello everyone! Yes, this little squirrel makes it on our list of favorites for our year end pics. This is Jasmine and she just looks so cute lying down for a rest on this branch of a walnut tree. She was a cute squirrel to have around, but has since disappeared from the area. Hopefully nothing happened to her. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
