For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Hello once again everyone!
Here we are, back again with another species of flower fly. We have not looked at flower flies for quite a while now, so I thought it was time. This one is called “Black-striped Globetail”. The first part of its name refers to a black stripe on its face. This is a small species, about 7 to 8mm in length. This is a picture of a male. They can be found in our area from May until August, but they are an uncommon flower fly in this area. So it is nice to get this picture of one. Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day and God bless!
