Grover’s Grins And Groans. #10

Hi everyone! Here we other with Grover’s picks to make you smile or groan on this beautiful Monday morning. It is nice to have something where you get to have a choice on a Monday, instead of just “I must” get up and go to work, or school, or whatever. So, here we go, feel free to laugh all you want!

YOU KNOW YOU’RE A MOM WHEN…

1. You automatically double-knot everything you tie.

2. You hear a baby cry in the grocery store, and you start to gently sway back and forth, back and forth. And your children are at school.

3. You actually start to like the smell of strained carrots mixed with applesauce.

4. You get so into crafts you contemplate writing a book called 101 Fun Crafts to do with Dryer Lint and Eggshells.

5. You are out for a nice romantic meal with your husband, enjoying some real adult conversation, when suddenly you realize that you’ve reached over and started to cut up his steak.

Did you hear the rumor about butter? Well, I’m not going to spread it.

Common sense is not a gift. It’s a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn’t have it.

Taking his seat in his chambers, the judge faced the opposing lawyers.

“So,” he said, “I have been presented, by both of you, with a bribe.”

Both lawyers squirmed uncomfortably. “You, Mr. Leon, gave me $15,000. And you, Mr. Campos, gave me $10,000.”

The judge reached into his pocket and pulled out a check. He handed it to Mr. Leon. “Now then, I’m returning $5,000, and we’re going to decide this case solely on its merits.”

Being a functioning adult, every day seems a bit excessive.

Every time the man next door headed toward Robinson’s house, Robinson knew he was coming to borrow something. “He won’t get away with it this time,” muttered Robinson to his wife. “Watch this.”

“Er, I wonder if you’d be using your power-saw this morning,” the neighbor began.

“Oh, I’m awfully sorry,” said Robinson with a smug look, “but the fact of the matter is, I’ll be using it all day.”

“In that case,” said the neighbor, “you won’t be using your golf clubs, mind if I borrow them?”

That is it for today everyone, have a great day and God bless!

Sunny Sunday! #14

Good morning to everyone and Happy Sunday! Well, here we are beginning another new week and I’m hoping for a warmer week than the last one. Watching snowflakes falling yesterday was not really a lot of fun. I am glad that they did not add up to any kind of snow depth, just lazy snowflakes floating to the snow on the ground. Wow, there were hardly any birds yesterday, most of the day there really were no birds out there at all.

Some chickadees and nuthatches kept showing up now and then, plus a few redpolls and the 2 purple finches. Plus Baxter and Betty. Jasper was here for a while so we had a talk. “How have you been lately Jasper?” Loud chip. “Oh, Chase is keeping you busy. Yes, I have been watching the 2 of you running. You don’t seem to get tired easily.” Loud chip. “Oh, you do get tired but you can’t let Chase know that. Hmm, that is good thinking.”

A nice sunny pink geranium.

Chip. “Yes, it has been a long winter. Have you started your spring cleaning?” Loud chip. “Oh, Jasmine is helping you with that? That is nice.” Loud chip. “Jasmine keeps throwing out your collections?” Chip. “Well, it might be time to throw out the old peanut shells, you can always get new ones.” Chip. “Okay, they have sentimental value, but 679 is a lot, where will the babies sleep if you keep all those shells?”

Loud chip. “Oh, sorry, having trouble figuring out which part will be the baby room?” Chip. “Well, Jasmine probably knows better than you about these things.” Chip. “Oh, that is what she said? Sorry.” Chip. “Yes, here is a nice big one. You must have worked up a good appetite running after Chase today so eat as much as you want.” Chip. “You are welcome.”

Pink freckles geranium after a summer shower. I am looking forward to flowers blooming again!

Off he goes carrying another big peanut. I hope he is taking that one back to Jasmine. It is nice when Jasper stops by for some chipping. Top photo is a bright orange geranium. Thank you all for stopping by to read today, I hope you enjoy the sunny flowers, have a wonderful, sunny Sunday and God bless!
