Grover’s Grins And Groans. #3

Hello and happy Monday to all of you! It is that time once again to get some grins and groans, and perhaps even a laugh or two for beginning your week. I hope you will enjoy today’s selections…

There’s an advantage to having a poor memory, there is less to forget!

I have a photographic memory, but sometimes I forget to take the lense cap off!

There is no point in worrying about forgetting things as you grow older, because you will soon forget what you forgot!

===================

A man mentioned to his landlord about the tenants in the apartment over his. “Most nights they stomp on the floor and shout until 2 am!” The landlord asked if it bothered him. “Not really,” he said, “I’m usually up until that time practicing my trumpet anyway.”

================

“Well, how do you like your new hearing aids?”, asked the man’s doctor. “I like them just fine,” he answered, “I’ve heard sounds in the last few weeks that I had forgotten even existed.” “Well, how does your family like your hearing aids?” “Oh, no one in my family knows I have them yet. Am I having a great time! I have changed my will 3 times in the last 2 months!”

===============

A friend asked what parenting toddlers is like. So, I hid her keys, headbutted her in the face, and then told her I love her more than the stars.

==============

A co-worker asked me, “Could you be any more annoying?” So, the next day I wore tap shoes to work.

Well, have a great day everyone and God bless!

Sunny Sunday. #7

Good morning and Happy Sunday everyone! Oh my, another cold morning following yesterday’s cold day. It did get up to -10F (-23C) though, so it was, um, still cold. But there was not really any wind, so that part was nice. Still too cold for me though. It normally is not quite this cold in February, but it does happen. Except for feeding the birds I just stayed inside. Muffin enjoyed her spot in the sunshine for her afternoon nap. I would like to have shared it with her, but it just was not big enough for both of us.

A couple beautiful, big peonies.

Besides, lying down on top of the TV cabinet just would not work out too well anyway. So I opted for my bed and a nice wool blanket for my nap. What else is there to do when it is this cold? The window is so frosted again that Muffin and I cannot even see the birds right now. Jasper did not show up today either, guess he figured it was warmer at home too.

I have not seen Garnet for a while now, not even playing in the trees when it was milder for a couple of days. I wonder if the neighbor’s dog finally caught him? He has been trying ever since they moved in to the house. Apparently he is very good at catching squirrels and chipmunks. So between the dog and the cat I guess I will not have any chipmunks around for very long this summer. At least I will still have my gulls for company anyway.

And a beautiful delphinium.

On one of the days the window was frost free last week, the dog spotted Muffin in the window and started jumping and barking loudly at her. She did not like that at all. Now she is scared of him. She was okay with him at the start, but that barking was just too much. In keeping with the cold weather, or maybe not, we have some more bright flowers to share once again. It is necessary on these cold days to be reminded that we do get summer too! Well, thank you for joining us again this morning, have a beautiful, sunny Sunday and God bless!
