Sunday’s Photo Pick. #2

Hi everyone! Although this isn’t generally considered a genuine wildflower, this is a very nicely formed example of these flowers. It is a red clover, and very beautiful really. Have a sunny Sunday everyone and God bless!

Saturday’s Solitude. #27

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday! It’s cloudy here once again and rain will soon begin, plus the wind will get stronger and change to the north bringing in some cooler weather and snow flurries. Late autumn is like that. One day it’s fall, the next day we have winter. Though it’s not supposed to be winter just yet, but it’s coming very soon. At least it’s not an early winter, it’s turning in to a late start to winter.

A beautiful calm lake.

I never would have thought it would be a late winter. But things happen. Right now every snow free day means a shorter winter, and that’s fine with me! Fall can be a beautiful time, with all of it’s wonderful colors glowing in every direction. But it’s short. And now we have these bare trees with a few leaves hanging on tightly. Then comes the cloud, rain and cold weather, staying with us until the snow arrives. As you all know, I’m a summer person. It’s hard to beat the beauty of summer with all of it’s lush greens in different shades and shapes. Surrounded by brightly colored flowers of every description.

Another view of the lake.

The amazing variety of birds and songs. The beauty of the lakes and rivers. The energy of life in every direction. The peace and tranquility of a warm summer morning sitting on the deck with my coffee. Playing with the chipmunks. Or going out to sit beside a clear, calm lake, enjoying the calm and relaxation that it brings. Perhaps having a picnic with family or friends, being entertained by the wildlife found in that particular area. Leaving those screens behind for a time, in order to fully enjoy the calmness of the outdoors.

The same lake.

I truly believe that one reason we have so much stress is spending to much time staring at screens. It’s important to leave those screens now and then and spend time outdoors. Just going for a walk down the street can make a big difference. But leave that phone at home when you do. It’s really not necessary to have it with you all the time. Enjoy your surroundings instead. Look at the flowers, listen to the birds sing and the wind through the trees. Relax and enjoy the calm. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and God bless!
