Coffee At Steve’s Country #45.

Good morning and Happy Sunday to everyone! Seems like there is something else I was going to say at the beginning here. Meow.😺 Hi Muffin, oh, right, the coffee is ready, nice and hot on this yet another cold day with that temp down around the -40 mark. It was cold out there feeding the birds this morning, and I had more to do this morning which meant staying out there longer.

Geraniums.

But it still seems like I should be saying something else. Meow!!😸 Oh, right, Muffin wants to say hi to everyone, she sometimes feels left out because I don’t always say hi for her each morning. She was certainly in a good wild playing mood this morning. She was just flying around the apartment! And her toys were really flying around too! Hmm, I still think there is something else I wanted to say.

Closer look at a geranium.

MEOW!😻 Oh, right, I think Muffin is hungry from all that running around so maybe I should give her some more breakfast. There we go, that’s better. For some reason she’s just laying there with her paws over her eyes. Very strange thing to do. I wonder why she would….MEOW! CHOMP!!😾

Geranium in early morning sun.

Well, I’m back, had to find the bandages. Muffin reminded me what else I was going to say although I’m sure she didn’t need to get quite that wild about it. You know, a gentle reminder works just as well. Meow???🙀 Oh, that’s what you were trying to tell me? Oh. Happy Valentine’s Day Muffin! MEOW!!😻 Thank you. And Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you out there reading this today! I hope you all have a very wonderful day and God bless!

Coffee At Steve’s Country #44. Trees And Water.

Good morning everyone on this bright and sunny Saturday! It’s time for some more coffee and I have a nice fresh pot made and ready for everyone. Plus, something special, coffee muffins, freshly made. And when I say coffee muffins, that’s what I mean. These muffins are made with coffee and what a nice flavor too. What could be better to start off the day than coffee and muffins that taste like coffee. Perfect. They may not look perfect, but they sure do taste good. It’s another cold day, but you probably expected that. This is a long cold snap. This is day 10 and according to the forecast there are at least 2 more days to go. Unless things change. And that can happen. Anyway, it’s just as cold as yesterday.

A beautiful summer day at the river.

But the sun is shining nicely and that always makes things look more cheerful. And by next weekend our temperatures should be back to normal again. It is going to warm up slightly over the next few days, but still staying below normal for temps, until next weekend. Hopefully. So far this morning I have seen 2 blue jays and 2 chickadees. Not exactly a busy morning for birds. Seems like there is getting to be fewer birds each day. I’m showing a couple of nice summer pics today from down at the river, showing trees with the river off in the background. I like trees, and water. Put the two together and you have some beautiful scenery. And right now I like thinking about summer. It’s just the way I am. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, I just happen to prefer summer over winter.

Same day but different spot along the river.

There is now 2 redpolls out on the feeder. They are coming in 2’s today. Yesterday the unthinkable happened. At least I don’t like thinking about it. My water froze. It would take too long to write about that just now, perhaps later. It was quite the day yesterday. I am still in a lot of pain because of it. Another reason why I prefer summer over winter. Oh well. Hmm, I don’t see any birds out there right now. Oops, wrong, the chickadees just came back. Yep, I’m just kind of rambling this morning, not really saying much. Sometimes that happens. Right now the sun is shining in the window right on my shelves of insulators, really making them sparkle and showing…dust! Must dust those things today, that’s terrible. Well, I hope you all have a nice sunny Saturday and God bless!
