Muffin’s Weekly Mewsings #3.

Meow, meow!=Hi everyone, Muffin here! Welcome back to my “Mewsings” for this week! Today going to be a bit different, not talk about my fun human. He did do some funny things, but I will talk about them another time. But yesterday when he try to do funny thing for me he actually hurt himself when he fall over antique oak chair. So that one not funny, not like when he get hurt. Most of time he not really hurt, just do something funny to make me laugh. But this one made me think, hey, I got good idea! I talk about why having a cat in house is good for human people’s health! Aside from fact we just cute and cuddly, we also good for many other things too. Everyone should have cat, even if you have dog. Cats and dogs can be very good friends, especially when start as kitten and puppy.

We cats like to keep clean too!

These facts I share today not something I make up myself, these facts come from actual studies done. Even dogs good for many health reasons too, but since I a cat then we concentrate on health benefits of cats for humans. Did you know that we cats can help children with their health right from very early age. When children under a year old were exposed to a cat in home, they were less likely to develop allergies of many kinds, not just allergy to cats. But high exposure to cats in children early life does protect against pet allergy. Also it help to protect against allergy to dust mites, ragweed and grass. And early exposure to cats helps reduce risk of asthma in kids. Also help to reduce risk of obesity. And interaction with cats helps kids absorb sialic acid which does not occur naturally in human body, and it help to regulate inflammatory reactions.

My handsome boyfriend, Mr. Cat.

Cats also help to improve behavior and social interaction in children who have disorders like autism spectrum disorder. Cats helped to provide them with valuable bonding, attention and calming affection to the child. Wow, talk about lots of things we can help human people when just still children! But it not stop there, we good to help adults with their health as well in so many ways. But I think maybe that have to wait for next time, there so much more good health news to come! Right from little children and all the way up to older humans we can be good to have around to be a big help to you and your health! Some of these health helps would apply to having dog as well.

My human always like to disturb my nap with that camera thing!

Did you know that cats and dogs actually make the best pets of all animals? It true, really. And cats are the number one pet in whole world! That all for today, don’t forget to come back Thursday, this week, for part 2 of cat health benefits for human people. Have a very bemeowtiful day everyone!

Morning Coffee At Steve’s Country #15.

Good morning to all of you on this chilly and snowy morning! The coffee is ready, nice and hot! The beautiful aroma fills my apartment which automatically gives us a wonderful, cozy feel. It isn’t quite so cold this morning, the temperature being 0F (-18C), though for some reason it still feels as cold as yesterday. I was out early, it was just getting daylight, to put seeds and peanuts out for the birds, and there was the first chickadee to greet me. Amazing that he could see to fly around, they are not exactly a night bird. But he was able to get some food before anymore chickadees showed up. I had to sweep away some freshly fallen snow, not much, just about half and inch (1cm).

Bohemian waxwing on a snowy day.

Yesterday I bought the chickadees a new feeder, well, other birds can use it too however it’s meant for smaller birds like chickadees and nuthatches. I will put it up today. I would have done it yesterday but I have to do this with bare hands and it was just a little too cold yesterday to work outside with bare hands. Today should be okay, though I notice the wind is getting stronger out there, that can make things uncomfortably colder too. Oh well. Muffin and I were watching out the window together as the number of birds continually increased this morning. Still not many birds, so I guess that’s the way it will be for now. Soon the natural food supply will become less as winter continues and then birds will make their way to feeders. I see the hairy and downy woodpeckers are here now and of course, my 4 blue jays. That one is still a real puzzle. What happened to my blue jays? There was 14, the most I have ever had here, and now there is just 4. I won’t ever know for sure, just ideas floating around, but it is a puzzle.

Another Bohemian waxwing.

Jasper and Jenny haven’t been around yet, but I’m sure they will be here later this morning. Hmm, looks like the blue jays need some more peanuts, better toss some more out to them. Good timing, Jasper just showed up too, so more peanuts were definitely needed out there. I didn’t see Jenny anywhere, but maybe Jasper will take a peanut home to her, breakfast in bed on a cold winter morning. Well, it could happen. Today’s pics are a couple different Bohemian waxwings, there are a lot of them around this winter, even more than last winter. And I thought there was a lot then. The white streaks in the pics are snowflakes. Thanks for coming, have a wonderful day and God bless!
