Muffin’s Meowvelous Day!
Hi everyone! This Muffin here with another post for you to enjoy and laugh with me! Today was good day, the sun would shine and I would nap in my patch of sunshine. Then it rain and I would nap on bed. Then I get up for cuddle time with my human and have snack. Then back to nap time. It perfect day! Except it too cold to have my window open, that part not so good. But still I enjoy the day. My human enjoy his days too. One day he wash clothes, then put them in thing called dryer. After a while wet clothes come out dry, and warm, make nice place to take nap on pile of warm clothes. Then my human stand there and look at me so nice and relaxed, he jump up and down doing happy dance. I like to make him happy.
Then he goes get more clothes and drop sock on floor. He bend over to pick up and hit head on cabinet. Then he hold head and do human purring, sound so nice! But it make him drop sock again, so he bend over more slowly this time and pick up sock and get up fast. He forget that dryer door still open and it up high over washing machine, and “whack”! Oooooh, he says and does new happy dance with legs bent and then he sit on floor. I lost count how many times he hit head on dryer door, but this one real loud, end up with bump on head. Not sure why he like to sit on floor so much though, very strange behavior.
At supper time he go to put margarine on his potatoes (mmmm, love that) but instead he drop on his foot. Strange thing to do. Then he just stand there looking at foot. Maybe he think margarine will jump back on knife if he look long enough. So he bend over to take sock off. Bad mistake, he hit head on counter and back away and step in my food with other foot! He look down at foot and do human purring again. Very odd time to be happy. I just sit looking at his foot in my food. Hope he not expect me to eat it now. That be disgusting.
Yesterday he putting some stuff on new shelves he just make. It make the shelves nice and shiny. I walk past when he finished, he say I pushed him and he step on still wet stuff, leave big footprint. He shouldn’t lay shelves on floor if they wet. So he quickly get brush and fix up footprint he make. He put brush down and I come over to take look and he try to push me away and put his hand on brush, the wet part, get all over his hand. He start doing human purring again. I not think that would make me happy. Very strange behavior.
Now he want to lift new shelves high in air on top of other shelves. He crazy maybe? It probably fall down on his head and flatten him to floor. I try to tell him not smart idea. But he not listen to me. Tomorrow I nap in safe place away from crazy idea. Then he go out to feed chipmunks and birds. It cold so he come in fast. Too fast. He close door before foot come inside. Now he have sore ankle too. But it also make him trip over my chair which is by door. He almost land on me! Good thing I can run fast. Finally he sit in big chair and suddenly start laughing weird laugh. I think it all those knocks on head. But at least he happy and that make for meowvelous day! Bye for now!

Daily Pics #247.
Good morning everyone! So nice to see you all again this morning! It is very cool here today, only 50F (10C), cloudy and a strong northwest wind. We had more rain last evening and overnight. It’s beginning to look like last fall, lots of rain and cool, cloudy days. I really hope we can get some nice weather this fall though so I can get some better pics of our beautiful fall colors this year. Fall can be so beautiful, but that part is usually very short for us here in the north. Normally it’s clouds, rain and cool for most of the fall season. For that reason it’s not my favorite time of year. Plus, as many of you know, I have a lot of health problems and this kind of weather really knocks me down. But we usually get a week or two of warm sunshiny days before that other season of the year arrives. And that truly can be a wonderful time. Getting out on a sunny day, walking through the leaves as they crunch under foot. Listening to the blue jays calling to each other and the chickadees singing their name so cheerfully. Birds busy at the feeders, like this morning. There are so many purple finches out there that the feeders are full and many more birds are lined up on the railing of the deck and on the poles holding the feeders waiting their turn to get some seeds.
Too cool and wet for me to stay outside this morning so I stand at the window and watch. Oddly, Jasper and the chipmunks have not been around yet. The crows are sitting impatiently in the trees waiting for food to appear which won’t happen today. My gulls are all gone now so no more food goes out. The crows will have to learn to eat natural food like all good crows should. I’m hoping they will disappear after a while, but it won’t happen quickly. They will likely become more of a pest to the smaller birds for a few days until they finally realize that the free food has gone. Then they will go somewhere else. Hopefully. We’ll see if my plan works. It’s not supposed to rain tomorrow so perhaps I can start changing my bird feeders so they will be legal. Have to make a couple new feeders first, then put them in place next week. That’s plan two.
The featured image above is another view along the river from 2 weeks ago. The flower above is a nice golden orange marigold, very bright and cheerful for a rainy day. I hope you all have a most wonderful day and God bless!
