20/20 Investigations, Inc. The Vacation. Chapter 9.

This is quite a storm, clouds and strong wind, but no thunder and lightning and no rain. Oh well, that’s okay, the cats likely wouldn’t enjoy the thunder and lightning anyway. We get everything together that we need, then up to the third floor. Down at the end of the one hall is a door and there was stairs leading to the attic. At least it’s nice and easy getting up there. About half way up the stairs and the door closes behind us. I go back and check, it’s locked. Meow, meow.=See, now we trapped, make it easy to kill us. Meow.=Not want to be killed, not look like any fun in that. It’s okay you two, if someone wanted to kill us they could have done it before now. Meow, meow.=Maybe true, but still… Once we are up there I look around, Kathy was right, it is absolutely filled with junk of all kinds. It would certainly take a long time to sort through it all.

Jasper hiding among the flower pots.

Even longer now that Karin isn’t here to help. Meow?=You say Kathy, you say Karin, who is who? They are both the same woman Mr. Cat. Except the real Kathy, who is Karin, was changed for a different Kathy, but I don’t know why. This is all quite confusing and I have no idea what is going on. Meow.=Oh, now make sense. Now, make sure we all stay close together. Both cats jump up on an old dresser beside me and suddenly their ears go straight up! Meow!=Ghost! I look and sure enough there is Kathy about half way down the attic and she is glowing! I run down to her. Meow, meow.=There he go, chasing ghost again, we better follow. Just as I get close to her, she turns and looks at me and says, “go back home Steve, this is not for you”. Then she disappeared. Meow.=See, is ghost for sure.

I look around the area, trying to see how someone was doing this. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything that would help solve this problem. I just want to prove to the cats that it’s some kind of projection. We go back to where we were. I want to start there and work our way through. Meow?=What we look for? I really don’t know Mr. Cat. Meow?=Then how we know if we find it? Good question, I’m not sure, but we want something that is different, something that doesn’t really fit for this place, maybe something for the castle, maybe a map. How come Muffin isn’t asking questions, she always does. I call her. Nothing. Meow.=She here when we get back, right there by box. We both look around, but no sign of Muffin anywhere. Then Mr. Cat’s ears go straight up again! Meow!=Muffin ghost! I turn and there is Kathy, holding Muffin.

I just know we going to die and be ghosts.

“Go home Steve, this is your last warning. You can have Muffin back this time, next time she dies.” But there is no way I can leave right now, you should know that, I said. “For now stay downstairs or in your room, stay out of the attic”. Then she disappeared. I went over to where she had been standing and there was Muffin lying on an old chair. She had obviously been knocked out with something. Meow?=Muffin dead? Mr. Cat looked very worried. No, she’s okay, she has just been knocked out somehow. Meow?=What we do now? I guess we go back to our room. Meow.=But attic door is locked. I imagine it will be open when we get there. And it was, so we head back to our room. Once again we check the room thoroughly but no listening device. I find it odd that she told us twice to go home, yet she should know we can’t.

What happen? Why we back in room?

Meow?=What that mean? I think it means there is someone else here too, that mysterious person who keeps watching us. But why? What is everyone looking for that is so exciting? And where did everyone go? Who is working with who? Muffin started to wake up. Meow, meow?=What happen? Why we back in room? Why I feel strange? I told her what had taken place. Meow, meow!=Too many ghosts, we pack and go home! There’s only one ghost Muffin, I said, and she’s not a ghost! Meow?=Then how we can see right through her? I can’t see through you. It’s just a projection of someone which makes it look like that. But we can’t leave yet and we can’t call for help, so we stay and keep looking. Meow!=But ghost Kathy say Muffin die if we look! Meow, meow!?=Ghost Kathy say that about Muffin? Now we don’t go home, we stay and fight, no one scare us away like that! Meow!=Okay, I with you on that, and I protect you Muffin!

Daily Pics #234.

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday to you as well! It’s a nice sunny morning here once again. Things are changing around here, a little at a time. For a while now I have been wondering about Sir George, Lady Pearl would often come by herself. Sometimes she would come with another gull, but he was hesitant to come down to the feeder, and wouldn’t come down if I was outside. This morning they were rubbing heads, showing they are mates. This other gull isn’t as big as Sir George either. Something happened to Sir George so Lady Pearl picked a new mate. I didn’t think they would do that until the following year, but I guess they do. Too bad. I will miss Sir George. He was my first gull to come to my feeder, and the friendliest. Now Sir Henry is the friendliest. I hope nothing happens to him. It is nice to see that Lady Pearl brought her new mate to Steve’s restaurant. Hopefully the new gull will get braver next year.

Jasper is still chasing those chipmunks. He’s not doing any better though. This morning on his way over to the peanuts he spotted Chester and he took off. So did Chester. Now, Chester was at the edge of the deck, so he just jumped. Jasper was running fast and had to make a turn and somehow he slipped and slammed into the box I use to stand on to put food on the feeder. Poor Jasper, he was shaking his head after that one. I don’t think he will ever learn. Then Pocket had come to get some peanuts and Jasper spotted him. The chase is on! Finally Pocket came to me and hid behind my foot. I stomped my other foot when Jasper got close, so he stopped. I told him no chasing chipmunks. He stood there looking. I think Pocket was sticking his tongue out at Jasper. Jasper went and grabbed a peanut and left. Pocket looked up at me. I bent down and gave him a couple big peanuts and he ran off happy as could be.

Well, today we have two different violas for our enjoyment. They are small but pretty and so cheerful looking. They also will grow almost anywhere and in any kind of soil. They are amazing little flowers. I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and God bless!
