For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone and here we are with another award, and a first time for this one for me! Thank you so very much Keziah for nominating me for this award! If you have not checked out her blog before, this would be a good time to do it, say “hi” and maybe even give her a follow to encourage her a bit.
INTRO: This tag is based on Luke 19, the tale of the ten lepers. In the story, Jesus heals ten men with leprosy, a terrible disease that removes your capacity for pain reception. Sadly, only one of the ten healed men came back to thank Jesus, and it is after this man that we aspire. Let’s be like the one leper, a man who’s gratefulness won over his joy.
Rules for this award are:
1: Use any picture in your post that expresses gratitude
2: Pingback to the original post at 1 Grateful Person
3. Share the intro
4: Share what you are grateful to Jesus for
5: Share a passage from the Bible about gratitude that means something to you.
6: Tag anybody
Okay, I’m supposed to share a picture that expresses gratitude. Hmm, that’s a tough one.
I think this pic fits, the little pine siskin was grateful for getting some free food on a cold winter day, and I was certainly grateful to get this picture. Hopefully it fits anyway.
Short list of things Steve is grateful for:
Life that God has given me.
Muffin.
Family.
Friends. (that includes all of you)
My animal friends.
Being able to walk down my forest path, which most of you don’t know, I wasn’t able to do for some years due to health.
The health I have. Hey, things could be worse.
Like I said, a short list, otherwise this would be really long.
Muffin adds:
Chipmunks.
Food.
Several nice warm beds.
Especially my human who entertains me with funny things he does and spoils me!
Bible verse:
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Psalm 103:2

Good morning all on this first day of the last month of the year! Guess what? It’s a sunny day today! And it’s supposed to warm up a bit today as well, which is good, right now it’s only -13. But -5C for a high today, so that’s not bad. But now what should I do? I’m posting nice bright flowers for all those cloudy days, now there is a sunny day and what can I post for a sunny day? Hmm, that’s quite a problem. Sort of. However, because I am basically restricted a bit right now, meaning I can’t get out much, that I decided this is a good time to continue with some bright sunny pictures of flowers. But not mine today. Today will be some nice rose pictures provided by Ciccophoto. She gave me permission to use them. So, enjoy them along with me…
Unfortunately I don’t know the names of these roses used today, but they are beautiful.
I love roses, they are my all time favorite garden flower! I used to grow roses of different kinds, including mini roses which are fantastic and can be grown indoors as well. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!
