For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Friday
Friday is a wonderful day,
Just like all the others, I say.
For another week, work is done,
Though in our day, only for some.
It is a day to really cheer,
Because the weekend now is near.
And remember to spread a happy smile,
Make someone happy for a while.
So keep that smile, it is just right,
It makes cloudy days nice and bright.
And Friday is just great for that,
So share your smile and maybe chat.
In doing so you’ll help someone
Enjoy their Friday, with some fun.

Here we are at Friday already and the first in our new Friday series of pictures for you to enjoy! So welcome everyone on this very wet and cold October Friday.
That’s a male spruce grouse in the above picture, a common bird in this area.
A very bright yellow mushroom with a white stem. The top flattens as the mushroom matures. Also found in red and pink, all with white stems. They have a very waxy, almost a plastic feel to the tops.
Above is a wild onion, often found on our rocky hills.
Above is a black bear with brown fur. These are often called cinnamon bears in this area.
Well, that’s it for today’s mixed up bunch of photos, more coming on Sunday’s regular feature of photos. I hope you have enjoyed this selection, have a great weekend everyone and God bless!
Steve and Muffin (sleeping again since it’s still raining).
