For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone and here we are with the second in this month’s series of wildflowers from this area. This week I am showing just yellow wildflowers and of course this is just a sample of the many yellow wildflowers that we have here. I hope you will enjoy these pictures. The first is the common, or tall, buttercup.
I had to shade the buttercup. Due to its waxy petals it really shines in the sun making it a bit difficult to get a good picture. This next flower is the northern bush-honeysuckle.
This next flower is the nodding loosestrife. A little difficult getting a picture of one since they hang upside down. Fortunately I found one growing on a hill which helped a lot.
Finally we have the Canada hawkweed which, in spite of it’s name, is a wildflower, not a weed. They look somewhat like a dandelion but are up to 2 feet (60cm) tall.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today’s selection of wildflowers. I also hope you enjoy your Sunday and God bless!

INWARD BEAUTY
As I sit and enjoy the view,
I see the beauty and it’s true.
I look around and see it there,
Beauty like this shines everywhere.
Some may say that beauty is gone,
I will say they are very wrong.
Open your eyes and see it now,
Such beauty here makes all go, wow!
Beauty seems gone but is just rare,
Beauty like this is truly fair.
I’ve seen this beauty shown so clear,
Such beauty shines both far and near.
This beauty makes the face to glow,
It is so real and not just show.
The eyes will twinkle, oh so bright,
Even more than the stars at night.
Not just the beauty that we see,
But beauty found in you and me.
