Muffin Speaks Up!

Hello everyone, I know that some of you know about Muffin’s story but most of you have never heard it before, and there have been requests to know more about her. So, here it is as told in her very own meowing, and translated by me. Accurately. She is sitting here watching after all. I mean, really, my feet have no protection at the moment. And now…

My life started out in the home of a man who was not very nice to me. He would always yell at me. He would hit me and kick me and hit me with a broom. It was scary! But I didn’t know what to do. This was the only home I knew. Usually when he came into the room I would run and hide if I could.

Then one day I knew I was going to have kittens. Now I was really scared! What would happen to me if my owner found out? What would happen to my precious kittens?? I didn’t know what to do. Then my owner found out I was pregnant. Wow, did he get angry and threw me out the door. I was so scared that I ran and ran as fast as I could go! I didn’t know where I was going, I just knew I had to get away from there. Finally I stopped running and had to rest for a while and curled up under a nice shrub where I could be in the shade.

After a little nap I continued walking until I saw an old shed, so I went over to take a look. It seemed to be abandoned and I was able to get inside through a missing window. There was a lot of stuff in there and in one corner was an old cupboard with one of the doors open. I looked inside and there was an old blanket that was nice and thick and soft. A perfect place for my kittens! It wasn’t long and I had 5 beautiful kittens beside me. One was orange, 2 were different colors called calicos, one was mostly white and one was gray just like me! I loved them all. I had to leave them for a while each day to go hunting. I needed good food so I could have nice nourishing milk for my kittens.

Then one day I heard voices! Oh no! Did my owner find me? I didn’t move, I hardly breathed. But then the voices went away. Whew. Safe. I waited for a while then went out for my hunting time. Look what I see, a dish of cat food, hunting is easy today. I went over to the dish and wham! Trapped! I was in a box and couldn’t get out. My kittens!! The voices came back and I was carried away, finally ending up in a cage in a room full of other cats. I had never seen so many cats before! But where were my precious kittens??

Then a nice lady brought them to me and put them in the cage one by one. They were all here, what a relief. But after a while people started coming in and looking at the kittens until all of them had been adopted. Then I was put in a tiny cage on the floor in a dark spot behind the door. It was terrible back there. It was cold all winter and the cage was so small! And people would never see me down there, or if they did they would just say, oh, such a dull gray color.

Then the next summer a man came in and when he closed the door he looked right down at me. Then he bent down and put his hand up to the cage and I got excited and pushed up close to the door. He said something to the lady that looked after us and she came and took me out for the man to see. I rubbed against his cheek and he felt my silky smooth fur. That did it! He adopted me right away. He took me home and gave me lots of toys and played with me every day. Plus, he gave me my very own soft blanket! Wow. Things are so good now. Okay, back to my owner.

My questions

What is lighter 1kilogram of wool or kilogram of candies?

Well, that would probably depend on the kind of candies, I mean, some are heavier than others and MEOW! 😼 What’s that Muffin? Oh. So as I was about to say after some serious consideration, they would both weigh the same.😄

2. What makes you forget everything around you?

Um, do I have to answer this one? I mean really. Meow. What’s that Muffin. MEOW!😼 Chomp! 😲 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! My foot, my foot! Well, that certainly should count.

3. What would you do if you have possibility to dont work?

Move to a warmer place!! 🌴 Hey, can I help it? Ilona asked the question, not me.😂

4. A baseball bat and a ball cost 12$, the baseball bat alone cost 10$ more than the ball, how much cost the ball?

Okay, we have 12$ plus 10$ more equals 22$ and if the bat cost 10$ more than the ball we have to subtract 12$ from…MEOW, MEOW!😼 Huh, what’s that? Oh, right, I was about to say that. Muffin and I agree that the ball costs 2$! HA!😂😹

5. Why do you follow my blog?

Well, now, this isn’t really a fair question, I mean, a person could get in trouble here. I first started following your blog because I liked what you were saying about many different topics you were covering each day and you had a wonderful personality that really showed through your writing and over time we became friends and I just really enjoy your blog. I didn’t even need Muffin’s help for this one.😃

6. What is the meaning of friendship?

Wow, this could be a long answer. True friendship is a wonderful part of life. Friendship is when you can open your heart and share your feelings, your problems, or your happiness with someone. It’s when you have someone to count on in any situation. It’s when you give and don’t look for something in return. Friendship is helping each other at any time even if it means giving up something yourself. It’s when you build each other and help push each other forward. So much more can be said, but I will stop.😁

7. When was the last time you laughed?

I like easy questions. When I looked in the mirror this morning while shaving.😂😂

8. What do you like most about yourself?

Back to the hard questions. Um, well, uh, I mean, um, well…there must be something. I’m sure. Uh, hmm, can I skip this one? AHA! I’m fun. Honest. Really, I am. At least a little bit fun.

9. Do you have Boyfriend/Girlfriend, Wife/Husband?

NO. Trying to make me feel bad now. Sigh. At least it was an easy question.

10. Have you ever punched someone in the face?

Yes. Another easy one.

11. Do you believe in aliens?

Every time I look in the mirror! Who else could look like that?
