For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone! Welcome to a new post, and a new series here on Steve’s Country. Of course, there has been laughter here before, but we are going to do it a bit different this time. And, sometimes there will be laughter and sometimes there will be a real groan. But even those groaners can be funny. It will be shorter than before though so I may bring this out a couple times a week. Anyway, let’s get started with this week’s laughter!

A MISTAKE FUNNY:
If a barber makes a mistake, it’s a new style.
If a driver makes a mistake, it’s an accident.
If a engineer makes a mistake, it’s a new venture.
If parents make a mistake, it’s a new generation.
If a politician makes a mistake, it’s a new law.
If a scientist makes a mistake, it’s a new invention.
If a teacher makes a mistake, it’s a new theory.
If a tailor makes a mistake, it’s a new fashion.
If our boss makes a mistake, it’s our mistake.
If an employee makes a mistake, it’s a “MISTAKE.”

If all the world’s a stage, then someone in casting needs to be fired.

Have a great day and God bless!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I hope your week is going great so far and today I have another mushroom to share with you. This mushroom can actually go by different names depending on the book used for identification. That can make things a bit confusing, especially if you are just beginning to learn mushroom identification. That’s why I always say, go with someone who knows mushrooms already, it’s much safer that way.
Today we have the Yellow-Latex Milky mushroom. It is a very common mushroom in our area and it can also be listed as an Orangish Milk Cap. Both can be found here and both are listed as edible with a caution. They can be confused with other mushrooms that are not edible. Even the Yellow-Latex Milky has a slow very acrid hot taste which apparently is unpleasant and therefore not sought after by mushroom collectors.

This mushroom has a cap up to 3 to 4 inches across (7.5 to 10cm). The one in my photo is 3 inches. They can be found under pines, especially white pines, but also in mixed forests. All that I have found have been under both red and white pines. They can be found from July to October. Well, that is all for our mushrooms for today. Have a great day and God bless!
