For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi again everyone! Well, it’s another cloudy day with some light snow and with a temperature of 7F (-14C). Not exactly a mild day, but it could be worse. And colder days are coming for the next 2 days anyway, then it should return to this kind of temperature again. With some light snow. It doesn’t add up to much, maybe an inch or two but that’s all. Not enough to plow the sidewalks, so it gets tramped down and then gets slippery. Oh well. Minor detail.

Here is today’s bird, the male Indigo Bunting.
They are such a beautiful bird, but not very common in our area it seems. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

Hello everyone! It’s the last Tuesday of the month and of the year! It’s also the second last day of the year! Okay, that’s probably not very exciting. Certainly not like the last day of the year. Who really pays attention to the second last day? It’s the last day that gets everyone excited. Well, most everyone. I’m different. New Year’s Eve day is, well, just another day. Today’s photo is not really an oddity, but it is something beautiful. At least, I think it is. Most people never pay any attention to it, even when they walk right past it. When I point it out to people they usually give me a strange look, or say something like “oh, yeah, nice”, or, “that’s beautiful?”, or, “so what”, or just, “yeah”. And they keep walking. But there really is beauty all around us, we just need to stop, look, and enjoy it.

This is new growth on a Balsam Fir.
I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
