It was now starting to get dark again, but we carried on walking as long as we could until it was totally dark. And without the moon shining right now, it really was dark, which made walking difficult, so we stopped for a while to rest. The moon should be rising in a little while which will help. Kat used her shirt to wrap around Aasta’s ankle. 

I told her to use my shirt instead, but she refused saying I needed the warmth, she did not. Meanwhile, back with Lauren. ”Call Daniel at the cabin and find out what is going on,” said Lauren. Philip did so right away. ”Daniel said the other two men had been captured,” he reported, “and they got into the safe room.” 

“What??” she exclaimed, “How did they open that safe? Tell Daniel and the others to kill those people one at a time until there are none left, and start with Dawn, I hate that thing and want her out of the way!” ”She is gone,” said Philip, “helicopters arrived to take the injured out of there, plus 3 others which included Dawn. They are all part of The Investigators.” 

“What?!” she exclaimed again, “Part of Steve’s group? Kill them all quick, do not give them a chance, strike fast and hard!” Now back to us again. ”Rusty, come here,” said Kat, “we need to send a message to Rock if we can, they are in grave danger. We will try to send it by bouncing it off that satellite up there, do you see it?” Meow.=Nope, not see something but stars. 

“It looks a bit like a star,” she said, “now stay close and concentrate on what we are doing. This is what I want you to say to Storm so he can tell Rock.” It took a while, but finally they finished. ”How come you do not send a message home?” asked Aasta, “Then Snow would not have had to go on her own.” ”Lauren might be able to intercept a call home,” stated Kat, “then she would know our exact position.” 

“Oh, makes sense, I guess,” said Aasta, “I am so worried about little Snow going off by herself like that.” Meow,meow.=Not need to worry about Snow kitten, me train her very good for job like this. She know how to hide when she need to and she know our cars too. She then curled up beside Aasta and purred. ”I sure hope your batteries do not stop working Kat,” I said. 

“Steve, I am not a toy, I do not need batteries,” she said, “I am very real.” ”I always knew you were,” I said. Meow,meow.=Oooo, that a long one. ”Muffin, shhh,” said Aasta smiling, “you know, it would be nice if you two would at least try to hide when you do that.” ”Feeling left out a bit?” I asked. ”Yes, I am,” she said and put her head down. 

Meow,meow.=Ooooo, that… Kat put her finger on Muffin’s mouth. Snow was walking along the road when a large dog suddenly came bounding out from the trees! Snow hissed and spit and growled, trying to make herself look big, but that large dog just grabbed her and threw her into the air and she landed on the road just as a car came driving around a curve in the road. The dog attacked again and the car came to a screeching stop! Snow ran under the car for protection. 

Meanwhile, back at the cabin. Storm suddenly ran outside and up on top of one SUV, which is now completely covered with snow. ”Hard to believe that Storm would want to sit outside in this cold,” said Bridgette. He came back inside after a bit and went to Rock. Meowr.=You pretend I normal cat and listen, I have bad news, please not say something. 

“Just want some attention Storm?” he asked, and started rubbing Storm’s head. Meowr.=There still several men here, told to kill everyone, one by one, till none left. Something important in safe, not know what. Human Steve and others escape from bad woman, now lost on mountain side, being chased. Message from Kat. 

“You should stay inside Storm,” said Rock, “too cold to be outside.” Then Rock went around and told everyone the news and to stay extra alert for some unannounced visits day or night. They would make sure to have two watching at night, plus one cat. Now, if they could just find out what is in that safe that is so important. 

John, Miles and Alfred were back down there looking around, plus Ginger and Tiger. ”I wonder if this is a decoy?” asked Alfred. The other two looked at him. ”The other fireplace,” said Miles, “but the girls are using that one right now.” ”Might be another entrance,” said John, “otherwise how could those other men get out to attack us?”
