For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi again everyone! Here we are with another of my favorite bird photos and this one is a Blue Jay. This one I named Baxter. He and his mate Betty were regular visitors at my bird feeder, along with 12 other Blue Jays, though sometimes there were only 8 of them, but one winter there was 15. They are an incredibly beautiful bird and are always nice to see.
Baxter and Betty would both come and land on my knee to grab a peanut that I had placed there for them. I never did get a photo though, since they would never come down when I had my camera with me. Birds were often scared of my camera, or even my phone.

This is Baxter the Blue Jay.
But, I did get many nice photos of them anyway.
Merry Christmas and God bless! Steve and Muffin.

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! It is cloudy but fairly mild today with a temperature of 12F (-11C). There are even a few snowflakes falling lazily from those clouds above us. I decided to do laundry this morning since I figured everyone would be too busy with other things. I got down to the laundry room later than usual too and it wasn’t long after I arrived, that another man arrived to do his laundry.
He had the same idea as me, no one else would be doing laundry on Christmas morning. Then a third man showed up, then a woman showed up. It was busier than normal, with everyone thinking the same thing, it wouldn’t be busy this morning. Oh well. Here is today’s photo for you to enjoy.

There are so many dried grasses and plants in later summer and each adds their own touch of beauty to the landscape.
I hope you have a wonderful day with family and/or friends and God bless!
