For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning to everyone! We are supposed to have a beautiful, sunny morning and then showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. It was nice and sunny, until about 7am, then the clouds took over so I guess they came in earlier than expected. Quite obvious really. The chickadees, nuthatches and some sparrows are busy out there this morning.
There were a few grackles for a while too, but they have gone. Also the blue jays were here about 5:30 this morning and stayed about half an hour, but they have been gone since then. The chipmunks have come back and are busy from early morning until late evening now.

The peacefulness of the river in summer.
They must be in full winter preparation mode now, gathering as much as they can before winter arrives. Then they stay hidden in their little (big) homes until spring. Very smart little critters really. There are two squirrels around too, but they do not stay very long which is unusual. But this whole year has been unusual.

Enjoying the lake on a summer morning.
Yesterday while I was putting food out for everyone, Ned the nuthatch came and landed on my shoulder. He stayed there until I put some peanut pieces on my hand, then he flew onto my hand, grabbed and piece and off he went beeping his thanks. They do have a call note that sounds somewhat like a little beep. I will definitely miss my little friends.
Looks like I will have enough people to help me move now, though they have a different way of doing things which is a lot harder than it needs to be. I have learned a lot about moving over the years and have figured out what is easiest. They do not seem to like my ideas however and since I need the help, I will just let them do what they want and hope my stuff arrives in one piece. The joys of moving.

All this talk about packing is wearing me out, time to lie down and rest.
I will be glad when it is over. This apartment is already rented to someone but he is at his cottage right now and is not in a hurry to move in right away. So my helpers will spread out my move over the whole weekend, instead of just one day. Personally I prefer to move all in one day and get it over with. It can be hard to get people back a second day, or third day. Easier on Muffin too getting things done in one day.
Oh well, it will get done one way or the other. I have only packed 10 boxes so far. About 50 more to go. Good thing I got rid of so much stuff. The blue jays have returned I see. They are molting and look so funny. But they will not come out in the open when I have my camera ready to take a pic of them. I will try again though. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

Hi to all my favorite readers out there!😸 That mean you! Wow, it starting to get crowded in here, hard to find place to play. Also hard for my human to walk around without kicking something. All day long he wake me up yelling AAAAAAAA, my toe!!!! Good thing he have lots of them, must all be sore by now though. Anyway, he is funny for today, and bonus…
“Sign in park area: What goes up must come down, please do not feed the pigeons.”
And another sign, “Construction Area: You will never get to work on time now. Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!”
There you go, that all for today. Have very nicest day to everyone!🌞
