Thursday’s Thoughts. #14

Good morning everyone! Well, yesterday was certainly a snowy day for us. I was not going to show anymore winter snow pictures now that it is April, however, since winter does not want to go away easily I decided to share a few pics of our new snow. That was easily our biggest snowfall of the winter, and the final amount was 14 inches (35cm).

Too much snow for April. But it does happen sometimes. Actually quite frequently. And sometimes much later than this, more towards the end of April. Today it is still cloudy, windy and with a few snowflakes floating down. There is already a light covering of new snow on the deck after I cleaned it off this morning. I still have not shoveled the whole deck, I am doing it very slowly.

This is my walkway.

Some I will leave and it can melt off. I do not like that though as it produces ice and ice is treacherous. I slipped on a patch of ice, twice, this morning taking my garbage out to the street. The ice was covered with a bit of new snow so I did not see it, until my foot decided to go a different direction than the rest of me. Oh my, that hurt. I think those gulls and geese decided to go back south again. I have not seen them around anyway.

The driveway, which has not been completely cleared yet.

There does seem to be a hawk around though, and it keeps scaring my birds. Always something for those poor little birds. There is a chipmunk around too, though I am not sure which one it is. I think perhaps it is Scooter, since he was the least friendly of the group. And this little chipmunk will not come to me when I call him.

Hmm, looks like the sun is trying to shine, it did shine briefly earlier this morning. Still some light snow however. I know today is supposed to be DIY project day, but I decided to show our new snow pics instead. But the DIY project will come out a little later.

Showing a bit of the deck.

The sun has disappeared and it is snowing quite a bit now, guess it will be one of those days. Well, it is supposed to warm up a lot this weekend, I hope the forecast is correct, we shall see. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone and God bless!

The Investigators, Inc. The Case of Carrie’s Family. Chapter 5. Ghosts.

Well, our enemies have used things against us more times than I can to think about. Good thing I cannot remember them, but that is what I have been told anyway. Now it is our turn to use our technology against our enemies. Tonight Menton and his boys will have some fun, but not the kind they want, I am sure of that. They will also have trouble sleeping too.

And, we get to watch all the fun since we put cameras and listening devices all over that house. Plus, we will be showing them some, um, home movies tonight. We took their phones so they cannot call anyone, though they still have a landline phone. We hooked that up so no matter what number they call, it will come to us and to our “Angel” hotline.

Angel was able to come very close to the voice of Carrie’s mom, and we were able to make Galyna look just like her mom also. We also took the keys to their cars, plus gave each car 2 flat tires, just to make sure they will not try to take off somewhere. Mac, John and Vince are close by watching the place as well, and we will know if they leave the house anyway. We went to a lot of work and planning for this, so hopefully it will work.

I am really hoping that Menton will actually confess to killing his wife. Not that we could use that against him to get him arrested, but it would be nice to know for sure anyway. Right now Menton is pacing back and forth in the living room with his 2 sons trying to watch TV. But I am sure they will stop that soon when we cut into their TV in a few minutes.

“Hey dad, could you stop walking around like that?” said Kenny, “It is disturbing us and the sports news is nearly on.” “How can you be worried about sports right now?” he bellowed, “we are in a lot of trouble here with these people.” “Why not tell Painter about them?” asked Willie, “He would know how to handle them.” “Oh yeah, great idea, tell Painter,” said Menton sarcastically, “we do that and Painter will find out what we are doing and you know what happens then? We end up as grass fertilizer!”

“Well, we will help you think, but after the sports news, okay?” said Kenny. Just then the sports news was about to begin. “Hello darling, how has your day been?” said the woman. Menton just stared. “Hey, that is mom!” yelled Kenny. “That is impossible!” yelled Menton. “What is wrong darling, do you not miss me?” said Susie, “I do not really miss you either ever since you pushed me down the basement stairs.” “Turn that off, turn it off!!” bellowed Menton. “I, I can’t, it will not turn off,” said Willie.

Menton went and picked up the TV and smashed it on the floor. “Well, looks like we got his attention anyway,” I said. “Yes,” said Sky, “and we got Susie looking and sounding just right obviously.” “Well, even if we are off a little, because they are so upset, they will not notice anyway,” I said. “Very true,” said Galyna, “their subconscious will help us a lot now that they are so upset.

And guilt will settle in quickly as well. This should be an interesting evening.” “I am glad he is getting a little taste of what things feel like,” said Carrie, “even though it is kind of hard for me to watch.” “You do not have to,” I said, “some of the girls would be happy to spend time with you in one of the other rooms.” “No, I want to stay,” she said, “for now at least.” “Are you getting this clearly Annelie?” I asked.

“Yes we are,” she answered, “Mr. B and Mr. M. are here watching too.” Mandar was planning to come along with us, but something came up and he had to stay behind. That is probably best anyway. “Hey, I smell bacon and eggs,” said Willie and both boys ran into the kitchen. “Dad, come quick!” said Willie. He came into the kitchen and just stared.

There was his wife Susie, standing at the stove frying up bacon and eggs. “Hope you boys are hungry, they are almost done,” she said. “Spooks!” yelled Kenny. “I do not believe in spooks,” growled Menton, “come here you, woman.” “You come here darling,” she said, “I am busy cooking.” Menton went over to her and was about to touch her when she disappeared.

“See?” It is a spook!” said Kenny, “she looked like a real woman standing there too!” “It is just a trick, with cameras,” said Menton. “What about the smell?” asked Willie, “and no camera can make a picture look like a real person.” “They can do anything these days,” growled Menton. “Harold, what are you doing?” said Susie. She was now by the basement stairs.

“No Harold, no, don’t push me, no!” she yelled as she tumbled down the stairs. Menton went and looked, she was lying at the bottom of the stairs. “This place is haunted!” yelled Kenny. “Shut up!” said Menton, “those people are just trying to scare us, look, she disappeared again.” “That is what spooks do,” said Kenny looking very scared…

To Be Continued.
