For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Here I am again as I promised earlier. Nice to have you here with Muffin and I today. It is such a wonderful day. Actually it started yesterday, well, maybe I should say it started quite a while ago, but it just boosted yesterday. A few words said from a good friend. Thank you, you know who you are. Don’t underestimate the power of words. They can be a real blessing and encouragement to someone. Or the can tear a person down and quite literally destroy someone. Let’s be those who are on the encouragement side when allowing those words to come from us.

I was asked so very nicely to share some of my crazy poems so I will start to do that for a while, one or two each week, for your enjoyment. At least I hope you will enjoy since these are not normal poems. They don’t follow any rules. They are what they are. Okay, now for the crazy poem, this is based on an actual event;
Monster Spiders
There it is on the floor,
Crawled right in through the door,
How can it be as big as that,
Let me get my baseball bat.
How it runs, oh, so fast,
But Muffin cornered it at last.
Can’t find my bat, how about a shoe,
I whack it hard, what does it do?
It starts to crawl away,
Makes my brain start to sway.
I jump and pound till it goes squash,
What a gooey mess I must wash.
That critter was big, 4 inch across (that equals 10cm, just to define)
Why is it here, I’m at a loss.
But here they live, and I don’t like,
So time for me to take a hike!

Still very cool for this time of year, no sign of leaves yet which is amazingly late. Supposed to start warming up next week, I sure hope so, would be nice to go outside without a jacket. I imagine it’s quite nice now where you are.🙂

Eh. Sometimes it is. It’s been raining a lot. Cool in the morning, at times hot in the afternoon. It’s confusing, but at least now I can go for walks.

Yes, I have been able to get out walking more now, in the afternoon once it warms up. Last weekend it was only in the 30s at it’s warmest point of the day. Today it actually hit 48F., one of our warm days. Not much rain here though so the forest is dry.

Thanks N.Z.! That’s odd, your post didn’t show up in my reader, happens sometimes, kind of annoying. I will check out your post, thanks for mentioning it. Hope your evening is great!😃

Thanks so much Huguette for your great comment! Baxter is the friendliest of the blue jays and has landed on my lap to get his peanut. He always calls to let me know he is around and wants his food. Next will be Sir George, I hope!😁😄

I have weakness for the blue anyway 😊 just amazing! And being able to have this connection with birds and chipmunks and squirrels is more than amazing 😊👌

I have always liked it, since I was a kid, nice with accents of red, black or white. And on antique dishes!😂😁

Oh yes those antique dishes are also amazing 😀

I like them, but their popularity isn’t what it once was so value has dropped on some of them.😕 Some of the oldest ones still retain their value though.😃

Well we love what we love and some people just don’t know many things therefore they don’t care about them, but there will always be people who care and appreciate the value of things

So true, and values on any antiques can change, up and down a lot. I have been told, if it goes down, just wait, in a few years it will be back up again. I’m just not sure what ‘a few years’ means!😂

LOL! Great way to look at a disturbing subject. What kind of spider gets that large way up there? A wold Spider?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, not the wolf spider, although we do have them, can’t remember the name, I have it written down somewhere. Then can get even bigger, up to 6 inches I think is the record size. And they are fast! They are a dark brown with yellowish stripes. It’s only the female that gets that big though. Thanks for reading Lee!

You would be too far south for blue jays, but there is a relative there, the scrub jay I believe.

I googled what is a scrub jay 🙂 lol I have not seen this one too yet.
