Nature’s Art…#16.

Hi everyone on this cold but beautiful Saturday!  The days are getting noticeably longer now which is nice.  Can actually see some daylight, a little, at 7 am now!  Still can’t see the sun here until around 9, but that’s better than it was.  The sun is actually up sooner than that, it’s just I can’t see it here because of a hill right beside my place.  The birds were busy again at the feeders yesterday, but it was just too cold to stand out there and take pics.  I know I did it last winter, but we had different birds last winter that were not so afraid of me and my camera.  Mainly my camera.  Amazing how they can tell.  Some don’t mind, like the chickadees, nuthatches and one downy woodpecker.  But they are not around all the time.  Oh well.

Now to get on with our pics for today…

Here we have the flat topped club coral, which apparently is edible. It can grow up to 6 inches (15cm) tall, and about 1.5 inches (about 3 cm) across the top.  Quite common around here.IMG_8676

Here is an unidentified mushroom with a nice little insect underneath.  I didn’t even notice the insect as I was lying on the ground taking the picture.

There is our look at today’s art in nature.  There are just so many species of mushrooms and other fungi, it makes them a nice part of our forest to photograph.  I hope you enjoy your weekend and God bless!
