Daily Pics #104.

Good morning everyone!  Muffin and I were up bright and early this morning.  Well, it wasn’t really too bright, actually it was dark, but it was early.  I thought for sure Muffin must be hungry.  That wasn’t it.  She wanted to play.  I toss toy, she chases it, I head for bed, Muffin beats me to bed.  Sigh.  Purr.  Bouncing all over the bed like a kangaroo.  Muffin, not me.  I was having trouble keeping my eyes open so I didn’t fall down.  I didn’t want to bounce.  I look at the clock, 3 am.  That’s too early Muffin.  She stops, like she actually understood me.  Good, back to bed.  I tell Muffin to move over.  She just lays there.  I push her over.  She moves back before I can get into bed.  I get into bed anyway.  I try to push her over a bit with my legs.  She holds on with her claws.  I stop, don’t want holes in my blanket.  I have enough room now anyway.  How come such a small cat wants so much of the bed?  She just doesn’t want me going back to bed….

And now for some sunny summer pics once again looking at our feathered friends….

And we will start off with 2 Canada geese, with one looking right at me as if to say “he has a camera Gus, smile”.IMG_5378

And following behind mom and dad, a couple of young Canada geese still in the downy stage.  I was aiming for just one, but the other swam up fast when he saw me taking pictures.

The geese on the lake like that just makes it feel so nice and warm.  Well, I hope you all have a great start to your week, please stay safe and God bless!

    • Muffin is rarely sleepy in the morning,🐱 though she doesn’t always get up so early like she did today. 😀😺Yep, she always seems to look extra cute when she’s trying to get my attention for playing.😻😽
She gets back to sleep quickly though, I just lay there with my eyes wide open!😳😹

  6. Good morning, Steve and Muffin! How can such a small animal take up so much bed?? Haha! Digs in claws. Yep. Took a while to teach Mr. Cat to sleep in his own bed—but cats can fly…
No more cat baths in bed at 3am for Mr. Cat—good kitty.
Beautiful pictures as always, Steve. The white admiral butterfly in your river walk post is spectacular! We don’t see them here.
Just sprinkled seeds for a butterfly/hummingbird garden—will see what comes up! Enjoy your day—see ya later! 😊🦋🐝🐛🌼🌈

    • Good morning Nina! I really don’t mind her sleeping with me, even if she does want most of the bed. We usually compromise, she gets what she wants😾😻 and I do what she wants,😻😳 that way we both sleep.😴😸 Works good!😁 Those white admirals are nice, used to see a lot of them before, not now, but it’s like that with a lot of our butterflies.
Planting seeds already?🤔 Oh my, the ground is solidly frozen here. Only warmed up to 27 yesterday, should reach 25 today and tomorrow, down to around 10 at night, way too cold for this time of year, even for us.😕
But the sun continues to shine, so that’s always nice. Muffin is enjoying her nap in the sun.😸🌞 I’m enjoying a snack.🙄
      Have a wonderful day Nina!😃😺🌞☕☕

      • Haha, Steve—you’ve figured out the secret to a happy marriage! Sleep! This put a great big smile on my face😁
Oh that’s cold country. But here, it’s too warm. Too dry. We went morel mushroom hunting yesterday—just a few. But still made a nice breakfast.
Yep, just starting to plant flower seeds and lettuce outside. Tomato plants inside.
Still too cold for lots of things.
Hey, your new story starts today…I’ll be right there…🐝

      • Yep, why fight it, just squeeze in and back to sleep! Wow, mushroom hunting already too. I think it’s going to be a while before any show up around here. Fresh mushrooms for breakfast, sounds good.
Yep, new story begins with an introduction more than anything, but have to lay some ground work for the story to work on. Enjoy!😃😺🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♀️

    • Hi Ramyani! So nice to see you!😁😸
      Thank you so much!
Yep, we have fun for sure!😻😄 And we are doing well. I hope everything is great with you as well!😃😺🌞

  7. My mom used to make me chase the Canada geese off of her front lawn. And my dad would get angry that she “put me in danger.” Those geese can be viscous! Luckily, the geese didn’t attack me, like they knew it was my turf and not theirs. They made sure to leave poop gifts before they left.
