Good morning everyone and welcome back to Daily Pics! I am super late this morning. I have been on the go since 7 am and I think my energy level is done for the day. It was such a beautiful morning once again, though definitely on the cool side. But the sun was shining so nicely, the sky was so blue and it was starting to warm up as well. So nice. There was no bird activity until about 5:30 am today, Sir George and Lady Pearl showed up first with the crows right behind them. There was a few birds singing including one that I just couldn’t identify so I will have to check on that one later. The chipmunks showed up after 6 though I haven’t seen Pocket yet, but since I haven’t been at home I probably just missed him. The chipmunks are certainly busy right now, Skamper and Chester having a slight discussion on who is top chipmunk around here. Pocket would settle that in a hurry if he was here right now, he is definitely the top chipmunk in this territory. Poor Coffee is at the bottom of the list right now, but wait until next year, then he’ll be ready to join in the discussions.

Well, today we have a couple of wildflowers for you to enjoy, the top featured image is the “meadowsweet”. This is a member of the rose family and is often found in damp areas and around the shores of lakes and rivers.

And in the photo above is the common “tall buttercup”, a beautiful, bright and cheerful flower to have around. These can be found just about anywhere that isn’t too dry. That’s it for our pics for today, I hope you all have a marvelous Monday and God bless!

  1. It’s the afternoon here though. But as always love post. And for a second I was about to react on coffee needing to wait until I realized it was a name not a drink 😂

  6. Gorgeous flowers ! The goldfinches, wrens and chickadees are very active today…two squirrels came by…☕️☕️🐿🥜😀

    • Thanks so much! Goldfinches and purple finches still come each day, they are more persistent than the other birds I guess, though they stay away when the crows are around.😁😸🌞☕☕

      • My mom uses the word floofy too. I probably learned it from her. When my childhood cat was a kitten, she looked like a pompom. That’s when I first heard my mom use the word “floofy” (or floofball)

      • She was a half Persian and she was a beautiful kitty. She was very mean though and snarled at anyone who crossed her path. She was not friendly at all. Her name was Holly, because she was supposed to be a Christmas cat even though I got her in June the following year.

      • I have only come across 1 Persian over the years and it too was not friendly, perhaps its a disposition that they have. Or maybe just coincidence. 🤔😸

      • Was the cat male or female? I find that male cats are much more friendlier than female cats, or it could be this particular breed. 🤔🐈

      • Muffin actually hates most men, it took her a long time to accept me, but she went from wild to a very loving and gentle cat. She likes women. But it’s all because of being abused when she was young, then she ended at the cat shelter where I adopted her.

      • That makes sense that she has a preference towards people. Poor cat… I’m sorry she was abused when she was younger. My childhood cat did not come from the shelter but my current cat, Timon, came from an animal shelter. He was a stray cat – they found him wandering the streets. Your story is very touching, and I think it’s awesome that you adopted Muffin ♥️
