Good morning everyone! Here we are with our long weekend Monday, called Labor Day, an extra day to relax, at least for some people. But some people still have to work today. I don’t know if other countries have a holiday today or not, but it’s something we have here. It is a nice sunny morning, it’s so beautiful to see the sun bouncing off the leaves still. But it’s chilly. Only 43F (6C) this morning but going all the way up to 50F (10C) today. And there is a strong north wind which makes it feel a bit cooler. But lots of people enjoy this kind of weather. At one time it didn’t bother me either. I still preferred warm weather, but cold weather wasn’t a problem. But things change. Now cold weather bothers me. A lot. Oh well, that’s the way it goes sometimes. But it does look so beautiful out there. However, I decided to enjoy my coffee indoors this morning so I wasn’t able to watch what was going on with Jasper and the chipmunks today. They were out there and the few times I looked things seemed to be quite normal. Amazing really. Maybe this cold weather is making them get along better. It’s a common enemy, so time to share the food! I just saw a blue jay and a chipmunk side by side getting peanuts. So maybe that idea is true. Interesting anyway.

A grackle has joined the group this morning as well, though he’s not quite so brave, but he did come down and get a peanut after watching the blue jays and chipmunks do it. He’s the blue headed variety grackle. I never did get a picture of the purple headed ones that were here earlier this summer. I certainly tried enough times, but none ever turned out. Guess I will have to wait until next year now. Poor Jasper. Yesterday he gets a peanut and runs off to hide it. He went onto the rock hill out here and buried it. I told him that wasn’t very smart. Shortly after he left a little head popped up in the grass…a chipmunk. He starts sniffing around where Jasper hid his peanut and found it, happily carrying it off to his own little home. Another time he hid his peanut, again burying it while a blue jay was watching. After Jasper left the blue jay came and dug it up and flew off. Jasper saw it that time and went off chasing that blue jay, running up the tree. The blue jay, of course, just flew to another tree leaving Jasper to chatter angrily from a branch. He does have his fun.

Well, today we have two more different colors of the zinnia to enjoy, a lighter purple than the other one we saw before, there’s an even lighter one yet. And a nice golden yellow, or dark yellow, very different than the last yellow we saw. I hope you all have a very Happy Monday and God bless!

  2. Happy Labor Day!! ✨💐 Zinnias colours are so bright and beautiful 😍 How many colours does it have 🤔? Well, Jasper had his for the day,😂🤣🤣 that was fun reading him chasing blue Jay 😂😂 Have a wonderful day Steve, Stay warm 🤗 and stay away from all that keeps you up.☺️

    • Happy Labor Day to you too! Though I guess you don’t have that holiday.🤔 Muffin and I are celebrating by doing nothing but relaxing today.🙄😄😽 I’m not sure how many colors there are,🤔 but more than I have pictures of that’s for sure.📷 Each color has different shades so there’s probably 20 or more colors altogether. Would be nice to get them all.😃 I was going to share an orange one today but wasn’t able to upload it for some reason.🙄 I had to turn my heater on this morning, it was cold in here!🥶 Slightly warmer weather is on the way by Thursday, I hope! Hope you are having a good evening,🌙 actually, guess you are in bed now.😴 Have a great week Simon!😄

      • Thats a good way to Celebrate 🥳Doing Nothing ☺️ Here the Labor Day comes on my wedding day May 1st 😁 and from my side I had 6 friends, and none of them in touch with me 😂 I don’t have real friends 🙄 except one or two again 🤣. 20 more colours 🤩😍 That would be lovely to see them all at once isn’t it 😍🥰 Do share the orange one next time 😍. It’s cold there isn’t it 😱 how these flowers survive 🤔 forget it, hope you are warm, Muffin would love heater right 😸😸 stay warm, and hope for the warmest day in this fall season. Now I’m wide awake, and still wanted to sleep 😁😜

      • It was a good relaxing day! hehe.😂😹 I want to show the orange one but it won’t let me upload that one for some reason.🙄📷 I’ve never had that problem before, very odd. The flowers survive the cold, they just slow down on their growing, unless frost comes, that finishes them.🤪 But all these pics were taken a couple weeks ago while it was still warm. It’s now time for that heater every day, just too cold. It was 9C yesterday, today should be 10C with showers. 🥶Have a good night Simon!😁😸

      • Odd always choose Steve 🙄🤔I think I got the carelessness syndrome again, being to careless, dropping lot of things 😳🤔 not sure why, have to be careful with talking too 😳 Sigh, I need to workout hard 😉 I think I missed your posts again 😼 have to read that first, and here the climate is dull and dark in the morning, pretty hard to wake up 🙄 I wish it is hot 😃 Do share us orange one when you can 🤗 stay warm, turn on the heater, stay happy, and stay Warmer 😁 bring the summer inside 😉✨ Good Night Steve, Have a beautiful day 💐🥳

      • Oh, oh, got to be careful with being careless! I know, it’s easy to fall into that syndrome,🤪 especially when the weather is dull.😕🥱 Now with our days getting so short and long nights I get the same way and have to really watch myself.🥱😴 And it only gets worse until the days start getting longer again in January.😬
        I have tried that orange one 3 times already but I will try again tomorrow.🙄🤔 My laptop is still not working quite the way it should although it is much better now. Then this morning I lost internet for a while again.🙄 Sigh. Even with my fall jacket on I’m still cold outside,🥶 but then it really shouldn’t be this cold so early, but warming up to normal by Friday.😃😺🌞😎

      • Yes 😳 It’s very dangerous, especially the whether is so dull 🙄 do take care Steve, Keep yourself active, keep doing something indoors without hurting yourself and stay warm, have you turned on the heater 😃😸🤔 If I were you my heater would be on all the time 😁 About Friday 😉I’m counting in it 😁 just waiting for weekend 😂

      • Do something without hurting myself?🤔😲 That would mean sleeping!🥱😴 Yes, I have used my heater,😀🔥🙀 it got too cold in here without. But warmer weather is returning today, it was 5C this morning and it’s going up to 16C today! YAY!🥳🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️ Maybe I can go for a walk today finally.🚶‍♂️🏞 And tomorrow is a big day, hopefully it all works out nicely.🚗 I need some nice sunny weather🌞 for tomorrow so I can get lots of pics📷 from my day trip to where I used to live as a teen.       • 😂 true, while sleeping only we don’t hurt ourselves 😜 today mrng I got my skin burnt touching a hot pot 😳🙄don’t ask me how 🤔things happen just like that😵 second degree burn. See how I keep myself warm 😜😂 yay 🥳16C is awesome hope you had a nice walk 🤓 And looking forward for the pictures 😍✨🤗

      • Hmm, I can hurt myself even when sleeping, kind of, that’s when I get bit by spiders anyway.😬 Oh my, if you want to burn your skin, just lie in the sun for awhile.🌞😎 Yep, I’m bad.😜 You need to be more careful or you’ll end up being like me!😂 I didn’t go for a walk even though the weather was so nice, by the time I got back from my trip I was too sore for a walk.🙄 Hopefully today!😁🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🏞

      • My ankle stability is bad, I have to train for that 😳🙄 Sigh, I don’t want to trip again. This is happening often 🤔 What 😳 spiders bite you 🤔now I get why there are so many spider man movies 😃so you are one too 😁 what happens when a spider bite 🙄 is it venomous 😳 or like super power 😜. Oops, tired for walk again 😮 It’s okay 😃 you can still have that short walk near house and stay fit. Keep yourself active, even though the walks are small, its okay, keep walking 😃 My grandma use to say that a LOT 😍 she had knee issues and swollen legs but she never stopped her walking, always on the street and garden walking walking and talking with birds 😍 she loves nature 🥰. oops I’m talking too much 😁 Time for bed, 🤓

      • Yes I agree, even a little bit is better than nothing, plus my home workouts, it all helps. I wish that would work with my laptop! Sigh. If I need a new laptop it’s going to be awhile before I get back here. Good night Simon 😴
