Steve’s Bird Of The Day #11.

Hello everyone! We are back with another variety of the white-throated sparrow. It was once thought that these were the female, while the bright colored variety from yesterday was the male. Now it is known that both sexes are found in both varieties and that they will mate within their variety or with the other variety as well. The song is the same for both varieties also. An extra tidbit, their song has been changing over the years, only slightly, but noticeable. It started with a group of white-throated sparrows along the west coast of Canada and is now being sung by the sparrows everywhere. Now that same group of sparrows has started singing a new version of their song. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!
