For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone and welcome back to art in nature today! As I go out walking down the path to the river, I am always on the lookout for some things that are true pieces of art just waiting for someone to notice them. However, it’s not necessary to have a wilderness setting to find these pieces of art. Just walking down the street can do it. That has happened to me here.
Also, just walking around the yard here I often find some interesting dried flowers and plants that fit very nicely as art in nature. Like the featured image above of this very beautiful, and delicious, wild strawberry. It looked so nice I just had to take a picture of it before enjoying it’s sweet and wonderful taste. I did this with several of our wild berries last year, that way I get to enjoy their beauty as art in nature, plus their beauty on my cereal for breakfast, or in pancakes and other things.
It is actually a lot of fun to not only go for a walk, but to also add the extra enjoyment of looking for all these different objects of art. It can be a great family activity to try and find as many things as possible each time you go out for a walk together. And then trying to identify some of the items found. Some are very easy to identify, but some things like dried flowers, especially wildflowers, can be much more challenging. Well, I hope you all have a very wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

These dried plants might contain seeds that germinate in the spring and the summer when the snow melts and the atmosphere in the Northren hemishpere gets warmer …

Yes, there will be some seeds remain in them, but most are scattered about in the fall. This way the snow can push them into the ground a bit and give them a good start in the spring.

In the Middle East , some plants grow in the Winter months ( especially on places with less altitude) and some in the spring…
There is more warmth farther away from the Poles …

Some plants here begin growing right away once the snow is gone, but most wait for warmer weather.

Like the lady who used Gorilla glue on her hair? Now she can’t get it out. I think she had to shave her head. In any case… if I get glued you’re stuck with me!πππππ

She used Gorilla glue on her hair?? Are you serious? Why would someone do that? I think someone moved out of her upstairs apartment.π³π³ππ

She did it to slick her hair down and keep it in place. She got what she wanted!πππ

Very fast. I was so stiff and sore from my walk yesterday, so didn’t get much done today.

I can’t move, too much pain. And if I push myself it just gets worse. A day to relax usually does it.

Hi Steve! Thank you for sharing this experience. Yes, that wild strawberry π looked very delicious. Looking for beautiful things in nature is a great family activity indeed. I have done this with my grandkids on many occasions. Identifying various flowers, plants and insects is a great adventure for all! We also use to visit orchards in California to pick and sample (with permission π) the best fruit. Thanks again! ππ. Praying you had another restful night after losing so much sleep with your toothache. Praying for speedy recovery after that painful tooth extraction.
Note: I am catching up on what I missed this week. π

Wow, you’re doing a lot of reading, thanks so much Beverly! Yes, taking kids out and introducing them to nature is great fun. I have done that with many kids over the years, from out church and local home school group and others. My recovery seems to be going well, I no longer need painkillers, but I am still supposed to be careful what I eat until Tuesday. But I’m sleeping good which is nice. Thanks for praying. Have a wonderful and restful weekend!ππΊπ

Youβre welcome, Steve! Yes, I decided to take some time off from the project and relax like someone recommended to read the posts. Lol. I actually am taking the day off from work on Monday so that is the day I will drill down on the churchβs Outreach publication. That is great that you have done that with the kids from church. I am glad your recovery is going well. Youβre welcome on the prayers. Thank you, have a wonderful and restful weekend as well! ππ. Take care of him, Muffin! π

Good for you! I wonder who would do such a thing. If you don’t get your project done then it definitely wasn’t me!π€π¬ I just said to take some time off, nothing about reading. I don’t think.π And I haven’t been on my computer since this morning, too busy doing things,π didn’t really plan that though, just kinda happened. But it has been a great weekend so far and I’m sure it will continue!ππΊπ

Thanks! No, you will not be blamed. π Trust me, I will get it done. The reading was relaxing. π No, you did not tell me to read, just to relax. I also mixed it with some other fun things today like wishing my 12 year old grandson Happy Birthday via video call to Florida. π Talked to him twice. I also had a birthday celebration here for the youngest grandchild. π§ This is her first birthday. She was a Leap Year baby in 2020 (born 2/29/20). So there are other contributors to my break from the big project. π I did most of the reading last night and like you, I was not on my computer most of today. π. Yes, it has been a great weekend so far and it will continue. Glad it has been for you as well. π. I am updated on your posts….will be back on in 3 or 4 days with my project draft completed at that time, ready to go to the Graphic Designer!π₯³π₯³
Yes Muffin, do what you have to do to make Steve rest and recuperate. ππ. Talk to you both in the middle of next week. ππ
