Mother, A Poem.

Mother.

From the start she watched over me,

She taught me well, I know that she

Always wanted, that which was best

For me.  I know that I was blessed

With a Mother, who was so fine,

I am thankful that she was mine.

She taught me well, to stand and grow,

To walk through life, this way, I know.

She has been gone, so many years,

Thinking of her, it still brings tears.

I thank my God, for Mother still,

And I know, that I always will.

We need to stop, and think alway,

And thank our Mothers, every day.

  1. Beautiful poem and tribute to your mother, Steve. Yes, they planted so much… May the Lord bless you on this day as you remember and treasure the memories of your mother.

    • Hi John, welcome to Steve’s Country! I hope you will enjoy it here! Although this is mostly a nature and photo blog I do write a lot of poems too. Just put POEM in the search box and they should come up for you. There are more than 100 poems and more will be coming soon. Have a great week!
