Right, they grab a peanut off the step and run into one of the boxes to get away from Slim and usually out the other side and into the raspberry patch with Slim hot on their tail screaming all the way down one of those prickly raspberry canes with all those prickles dragging against his stomach.

But think of the massive unemployment! Then people couldn’t buy cars and all the car dealers would shut down, then people couldn’t buy furniture so the furniture stores would close, then people couldn’t buy housewares so all those factories would close, then people couldn’t build houses so all the lumber stores would close, then people couldn’t buy pizzas and all the pizza places would close, then people couldn’t buy food and all the grocery stores would close, then there would be no COFFEE which would be catastrophic!!!!

Takes me a lot longer than that to toss a log.. how big is it and how is it done?

It’s 8 ft long and 8 inches across for beginners, 12 inches across for more advanced types. It’s a 100ft long course and you have to toss the log to the end with as few tosses as possible. Another one is just tossing it and the farthest toss is the winner.

It’s a contest, you know, during fair times, like a fall fair with rides and pies and games and stuff. You get a nice ribbon if you win plus a slice of the log with a number 1 carved on it. If your first, a 2 if you’re second, a 3 if you’re third.😁

Log rolling is another good one. Another one is loading a small logging truck. Two guys work on that one, one tosses the logs up while the guy on top loads them properly on the truck. That one is a timed event.😁

So true, they are just too big to fight, very dangerous when they get big like that. The largest is now 474,840 acres. Unless there is substantial rain fires like that will burn a long time, perhaps right up to winter.

Yes, larger animals not so bad, smaller animals don’t have a chance. A lot of times though the smoke wears them down quickly so even the larger animals can’t make it.
