For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday! It’s a beautiful sunny morning, just a bit on the cool side but it should warm up a bit. Unlike yesterday that stayed cool at just 61F (16C). The chipmunks are busy this morning and there are at least 4 blue jays here this morning as well. There was one gull earlier, Sir George, he got his breakfast and was quickly gone again. Not sure why there were no gulls yesterday. It’s a bit early for them to leave, usually they would be around for another couple of weeks. However, they have left in August before, so it’s not totally unusual.
It’s terrible to see our summer birds leave though, knowing it will be 7 or 8 months before they return again. I need to get busy and redo my bird feeder, so the bears won’t be able to reach it. That way I can start feeding birds again this fall to get my winter birds starting to come around again. I won’t be starting to feed until likely the end of September, but I want to check my new feeder out to see if it will be bear proof or not. Bears will be a problem until there is snow on the ground normally. Sometimes they will head to their dens before the snow comes if the weather is cold enough. My chickadee family is here again this morning, and the family of white-throated sparrows.
It just looks so nice and beautiful out there this morning with that brilliant blue cloudless sky and the sun enveloping everything with it’s warmth. Those chipmunks are really having fun out there this morning, carrying off peanuts and sunflower seeds. Chasing each other around, one chipmunk chases another, then a third joins in the chase, then a fourth comes along and also joins in! It’s quite comical to watch four in a row like that running around the deck, in and out of the boxes until finally they all start flying off the deck except the last one, he comes back to get his peanuts, then leaves. It’s a great morning, time for another coffee everyone! Have a great day and God bless!

I missed the full moon last night, I wanted to get a picture of it. Clouds have moved in now and more rain for tonight so no moon pics. Sigh. I hope you have a wonderful day too Nina!πππ»

I love both those flowers. I have them both in my flowerbeds. My lantana is yellow. The pink is so pretty! My day lily is also yellow. Those chipmunks are very entertaining! Sorry the gulls are already gone! π’

I have never tried growing lantana, but when I had a flower garden I grew 18 varieties of daylilies and 12 lilies, plus 25 different roses, among other flowers. I do miss having a real garden. Thanks and have a wonderful week Renee!ππΊπ

These flowers pretty much grow on their own, because I don’t have much of a green thumb. π€·πΌββοΈπ
