Hi everyone! Here we have another of our favorites, a male hairy woodpecker collecting sunflower seeds for his hungry brood. Both the male and female spent several days gathering seeds to feed those hungry babies until they were ready to fly, then they brought the babies along with them. Have a great day and God bless!

Both the male and female would let me come real close to them. All they were concerned about was getting those seeds for the hungry mouths back home!

Yep, I was standing right next to him. Both he and the female didn’t mind me getting close, they were only concerned with getting those seeds quickly!😁😻📷

Aww I wish we could have seen the babies.

By the time they came around they were just as big as the parents. It was fun to watch the parents feeding the babies though. I tried for a picture but they never came out in the open enough. Perhaps next year!😀😺📷

There is one pair that are really used to having me around, they barely pay any attention to me now. The male has even sat on my shoulder.😁
