For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning on this beautiful Monday! It is still rather dark out there, but the forecast is for another nice, sunny day and a high temperature of 48F (9C). Yesterday was also sunny, with a high of 50F (10C). This is certainly helping to melt our snow fast. However, that melting will slow down a bit this week with somewhat cooler temperatures, changing to colder temps by the weekend. And tomorrow, snow.
Supposed to be about 6 inches (15cm), though they did say it could be more. They did not say how much more. They sometimes like to keep us guessing. More fun that way. For them, not the rest of us. But most years snowstorms are part of spring. Though some years that does not happen. Those are good years. There was not much bird activity yesterday, though each of the different species showed up. The grosbeaks did not stay long however.
The smaller birds were around most of the day, but they left early in the evening. It seems all of our summer crows have come back now, there is a lot of cawing all over with crows flying around visiting everyone. My pair of crows stayed all winter, a lot do now. It was not that long ago that all of our crows went south for the winter. Perhaps it is because more people feed birds now so there is always something for them to eat.
Jasper was here quite late yesterday evening, it was actually starting to get dark when he finally left. And something else came by too which woke Muffin so she had to go look out the window with great intensity. That, of course, got my attention so I had to go and see what she was finding so interesting. Nothing. I am always amazed at how noisy nothing can be. I mean, I heard a very distinct and rather loud noise, like something was out there. Just like before. And like then, there was nothing. How does nothing make such a loud noise?
Since it was still warm I had to go out and check. Nothing cannot make noise. So there had to be something. But there was not something. There was nothing. So I came back inside. After figuring out how to open the door. Which, for some unknown reason, did not want to open. Just like nothing made a noise. I finally gave the door a good push and it opened. It has never done that before. It works fine this morning. Daylight is forming out there, time to put the feeders out. A little later I will be going shopping. Have a wonderful Monday everyone and God bless!

It had to be something I’m sure, but what? I know I wasn’t hearing things because Muffin heard it too. Or do we both have problems?๐๐น๐๐

I donโt think you both have problems but I think youโre surrounded by lots of souls, some you can see and some you canโt ๐

Whoever they are, they have heavy feet! Something was walking around on the roof very early this morning too! Woke up both Muffin and I. Never found out what it was either.๐ฎ๐

The crows came here today ( not the two crows that stayed all winter )…blue jays are active today…maybe the bears came out early ! โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐ป๐ป๐ค

No, not the bears, too much snow yet for them to walk around. Besides, they would have hauled my garbage away. Probably raccoons. Have a nice day!๐๐๐ปโโ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ
