“There, look at that,” said Helen, Rock’s mother, “we go out for a little while and someone calls us.” “Leave it mom,” said Rock, “we are here to visit with you and dad, not talk on the phone.” “Yes, Helen,” said Josh, Rock’s father, “here, I will solve that.” He quickly deleted the message. Then they all went in the living room to talk. About half an hour later the phone rings. “I will get it,” said Helen. “Oh no,” said Josh. “But it might be important,” she said, and off she went.

She came back, frowning. “Rock honey,” she said, “there is a strange call, it is for you, from a man named Phillip who works for a Mandar, whatever that is. He says that a woman named Sky has been trying to locate you and it is very urgent.” Rock was already running to the phone before she stopped talking. Mentioning Sky, Rock knew it was important. “Hello, this is Rock,” he said quickly. “Oh, that is great,” said Phillip, I will switch you to Sky.”

Hearing her phone ring, she looked and saw it was from Phillip and she ran out of the room, knowing he must have located Rock. Seeing Sky run out so fast, Chung followed her, he was getting worried about her with all the pressure on her right now. “Hello,” she said. “I have Rock on the line miss Sky,” said Phillip. “Sky, what is wrong?” asked Rock. “Oh Rock,” Sky said shakily. Then she just broke down crying hard, not able to continue talking.

She handed the phone to Chung. “Hello,” he said, “Chung here.” “Chung, what happened to Sky?” he asked quickly, “what is going on over there?” Chung then filled him in on what had happened. Rock was silent for a moment, hardly believing what he heard. How could all that happen while they were away? He was also angry that Baldwin’s security people had left Sky and Kristina alone. But he was thankful that Mandar was there helping the girls.

“The man Ken,” said Chung, “told Sky she had no authority to tell them what to do, so they would not help.” “They will certainly listen to me!” boomed Rock. “Perhaps you can call John to come, he is close,” said Chung. “Yes, um, Walter is only 2 hours away,” said Rock. “Oh yes, I forgot,” said Chung, “maybe Galyna too, she would be very helpful right now.” Sky had finally stopped crying enough that she could talk with Rock, then with Annelie.

Rock knew, however, that he and Annelie would not be able to get home for at least 24 hours, and perhaps longer, depending on how quickly they could get a flight. He did discover that one of Baldwin’s jets was close, so he ordered it to Des Moines and they got ready to leave. Annelie called Ilda and told her what was happening, and if they could, to leave at once for home. Ilda was almost crying too when she heard the news. “Yes, we will leave as soon as we can,” she told Annelie.

Meanwhile… Back to Mandar and the others. They arrived in Paris and Mandar quickly rented cars for them to use. “I know that Lavina loves cats,” he said, “it is her one weakness. That is why we brought Storm, he has such a wonderful pattern of spots, he is bound to get her attention. Are you ready to help us Storm?” Meowr.=Me ready, do what you want me to do. “Very good Storm,” said Mandar smiling, “I knew you would. And you will be watched at all times, so you will be safe. Besides, Lavina would not hurt you.”

Unfortunately when they got to the hotel, they discovered that Lavina had gone already. But she did not take her luggage, she wanted it sent to a hotel in Munich. “Hmm,” said Mandar, “another mistake by the confident Lavina. She does not think we will find her here, so she did not think to hide where she is going. Undoubtedly she is going somewhere else first, but just briefly I would say. So we go and wait for her at the next hotel.”

He then called his men at the clinic and told them to be extra watchful right now. Just in case Lavina was planning to show up there to cause more trouble before heading to Munich. He also called Sky and told her to be extra careful as well. Sky then told him that Rock had been found and he would be heading home as soon as he can, but it would still take a while. But Walter would be back very soon. “Very good Sky,” he said, “I am happy to hear that. We will keep to our plans until they return.”

  1. Glad to hear that Rock has been notified and will join the others…also , good to see the cats more active in this case !👩‍🦰👩👩‍🦱👨‍🦳👨‍🦰🕵️‍♂️😼😼😼‼️ So Lavina has been on the move…hope you find her sooner than later ! Trust that there will be no more killings ! 🕵️‍♂️😻😳

    • Yes, but it will be a long time before Rock and Annelie get back. The others should get home sooner, especially Walter. Yes, Lavina is like her mother, not wanting to stay in one place too long. But she was so confident that no one could follow her that she made a mistake again, telling where to send her luggage. Hopefully Mandar and the others will get there before she does.🤔👩👩😾😾😾🕵️‍♂️

  2. So Walter will be a huge help there to protect everyone at the clinic! I sure hope Mandar isn’t getting too confident himself in assuming Lavina made a mistake with her luggage!😬😳 That could be an ambush!!🤨🤨
