Thursday’s Thoughts. #14
Good morning everyone! Well, yesterday was certainly a snowy day for us. I was not going to show anymore winter snow pictures now that it is April, however, since winter does not want to go away easily I decided to share a few pics of our new snow. That was easily our biggest snowfall of the winter, and the final amount was 14 inches (35cm).
Too much snow for April. But it does happen sometimes. Actually quite frequently. And sometimes much later than this, more towards the end of April. Today it is still cloudy, windy and with a few snowflakes floating down. There is already a light covering of new snow on the deck after I cleaned it off this morning. I still have not shoveled the whole deck, I am doing it very slowly.
This is my walkway.
Some I will leave and it can melt off. I do not like that though as it produces ice and ice is treacherous. I slipped on a patch of ice, twice, this morning taking my garbage out to the street. The ice was covered with a bit of new snow so I did not see it, until my foot decided to go a different direction than the rest of me. Oh my, that hurt. I think those gulls and geese decided to go back south again. I have not seen them around anyway.

There does seem to be a hawk around though, and it keeps scaring my birds. Always something for those poor little birds. There is a chipmunk around too, though I am not sure which one it is. I think perhaps it is Scooter, since he was the least friendly of the group. And this little chipmunk will not come to me when I call him.
Hmm, looks like the sun is trying to shine, it did shine briefly earlier this morning. Still some light snow however. I know today is supposed to be DIY project day, but I decided to show our new snow pics instead. But the DIY project will come out a little later.

The sun has disappeared and it is snowing quite a bit now, guess it will be one of those days. Well, it is supposed to warm up a lot this weekend, I hope the forecast is correct, we shall see. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone and God bless!

Rooting for you to have Spring. Here we have breakup and then the leaves pop out in a couple of days and we get summer. Hopefully, it will happen in mid-May!

That was bad storm, Hope things are getting better. By the way I heard the news, 8Lac people with no electricity? Is it because of tat lightning on CN tower? Hope all is well now, take care. How is your body pain now? Advanced Blessed Good Friday Uncle Steve and Muffin

It was an ice storm down east that knocked out electricity to people, part of the same storm we had, but they had freezing rain instead of snow. Supposed to be sunny🌞 here tomorrow which will be nice, but it will be cold tonight again.🥶 I’m doing okay now. Thanks Simon! Blessings for a wonderful Easter for you and your family!😃🌞🌷🌺😻😺

Simon says, “That was a bad storm.” But some of us are very jealous that you get such a BEAUTIFUL storm in April! I recall a blog I posted that had a YouTube video of a girl singing about April Snow.

Well, around this town it would be hard to find anyone happy about this snow! Right now everyone is looking for spring, not winter! I heard a lot of people groaning about the storm even before we got it! Oh well, can’t do anything about it, just have to wait for all that snow to melt. Even with warmer temps coming it will take a week to get rid of this snow. Then there is the snow we still had from winter…
