Thursday’s Thoughts, With Coffee! #24

Good morning to all on this another cool day! Time for coffee again for sure. It was only a high of 59F (15C) yesterday, which is very cool for mid June. And it was just 46F (8C) again this morning, that is twice in a row. Much too cool for mid June.

However, we should be back to well above normal temperatures again by next week. My heater even came on this morning, which was kind of nice, it was rather too cool inside. So my arthritis has me stiffened up quite a bit today.

Parts of our lake are large open stretches of water. Those are all islands in the background.

But the sun is shining beautifully, though there is still some smoke in the air giving things that kind of orange/gold look. But it is not thick smoke like it was before, this is minor really. Hopefully the sunshine will bring some insects out today, especially some butterflies and dragonflies.

Our lake is known for its islands, small and large, and most up this way have at least one cottage on them. There is a cottage on this small island.

Guess I missed that big orange butterfly, I have not seen it now for 3 days. That was too bad. There is a smaller orange butterfly around now, maybe I can get a picture of that one. We shall see. I had a nice bee crawling around on my arm the other day, but I was unable to get a pic of it. Sigh.

This small island has a cottage up high, plus a boat house (a garage for boats) and a guest cottage on top of the boat house.

It was one of those nice bright green bees. They are small, but have quite a big sting. I have been stung by them before. But generally they just crawl around. Sir Henry was just here for his breakfast, a little late today for some reason.

The waves are not so bad in this section due to the many islands.

Thought I would share a few photos of our lake with you today. It is a large lake for us, but small compared to other lakes. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday and God bless!
