The Investigators, Inc. Case of the Missing Granddaughter. Chapter 12. “Thwock!”

After dealing with Lucky, Rock called Sky with his information. “We have what we wanted,” he said, “and we have the team to do the job. What do you say?” Sky turned to Nelson. “What do you think Mr. N?” she asked him. “Get it done Rock,” he said, “do not wait, get it done.” “And we will deal with the fake Margaret, or whatever her name is,” said Sky.

So off they went, getting on their jet and flying quickly to their destination, back to Germany, but a different part than where Scorpion lives. They will deal with Scorpion and Butcher later. While they were off on their journey, back home another sort of fight was happening. “Bring Margaret out here,” said Sky firmly. Tracy and Aasta went to her room and knocked on the door.

“I have a headache right now,” she said, “and I am lying down, come back later.” She did not sound too convincing so the girls unlocked the door and went in. Margaret was on the phone again, likely with Ransom. “Get out of here!” she demanded. But the girls said nothing, just walked over and took the phone from her and brought her down to Sky and Nelson, with Margaret yelling and screaming all the way.

That was too much for Muffin, so she went over and bit her on the leg. Now she had something to scream about! Muffin walked away, quite satisfied with herself. Snow and Tandi were watching and were now giggling. “Well Margaret,” said Sky, “you were using your phone again, now for the last time, you will not get it back.”

“That is my phone,” she said, “you cannot tell me what to do, I can do what I want, and I am going to leave this place, it is like a prison living here.” “Strange you should say that Margaret, or whatever your name is,” said Sky, “because prison is where you are going. We have found the real Margaret, dead, and in the freezer in the basement.

Plus the police have found the gun you used to kill her, with your finger prints on it. We know you are the mother of Butcher, Scorpion and a man named Ransom. We will deal with each of them in time and they will be in prison the rest of their lives.” “You spied on me!” she yelled, “you spied on me! It was a setup, it will never hold up in court, my lawyer will have it thrown out!”

Meow,meow.=Me hear chop chop. Galyna went to check and sure enough there was a helicopter coming in over the trees and landing in the yard. “HA! My ride has arrived,” said Margaret, “now I am going to leave and you cannot stop me, or those men will kill anyone who tries!” Then she went for the door, but Sigurbjorn stood in her way.

“Let her go,” said Sky, then she said to Margaret, “but remember, you are an escaping prisoner.” “Big deal,” she said and out the door she went. Four well armed men jumped out of the helicopter as Margaret went outside. But the girls rushed out and began shooting. The four men quickly dropped and the helicopter tried to fly away, but Aasta, who had a rifle, began shooting at it, killing both the pilot and copilot.

The helicopter then crashed and burst into flames. Margaret turned, red with anger, but, “Thwock!”, and she was down. Muffin was not going to let her get away with murder, she felt so sorry for Karalyn who lost her grandmother, which was her only living relative. Muffin turned and came back to Sky.

Meow,meow.=She kill human Karalyn grandmother. It not right she maybe get away, had to stop her, she evil woman. She put her head down. Sky picked her up and hugged her. “It is okay little one,” said Sky, “I understand and I think you did the right thing.” Tracy came back with the steel ball Muffin had used and put it into her backpack.

Meanwhile, in Germany… “What happened to Ma?” asked Ransom, “we got cut off and now she will not answer. And what happened to the chopper we sent? No news from them either! I will kill them for that!” “Maybe there was problems Ransom,” said Jerry, “that PI team is tough from what I heard.”

“But we were told that most of them were chasing Butcher and Scorpion,” said Ransom, “and why have we not heard from Lucky? Where is he?” “Apparently he ran out on Butcher,” said Jerry, “he said so himself. Some ghost woman and her cat took him over to one of their vans and they drove away with him. My guess is he is now in jail somewhere.

Maybe he talked to the cops, who knows with him, I never did trust the guy. How do you trust a guy named Lucky?” “What do you mean a ghost woman?” growled Ransom, “there are no such things as ghosts!” “I know that, but Butcher said she really is a ghost,” said Jerry, “I think Butcher has lost it.” “That means Butcher cannot be trusted either,” said Ransom, and he was soon on the phone, “got a job for you Falcon…”
