For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone on this very beautiful, sunny morning! So nice to have the sun shining again like this. It is much warmer than it has been too, even though that does not mean hot. It is 63F (17C) and going up to a high of 79F (26C). That is better than it has been most days this month. We have definitely entered early fall even though today and tomorrow will be warm, but the temps will drop again beginning Sunday.
Leaves on the trees are beginning to change color and some are starting to drop leaves already which is a bit early. It is so much quieter around now in the mornings as the birds have stopped their summer singing now, plus many have already left us heading south for the winter. I think only one chipmunk showed up yesterday, and he was only here for a very short time.

A rocky shore on one of our smaller lakes.
Mica, the squirrel came by a couple of times, but he too did not stay long. I am not sure what happened to my little furry friends. But one chipmunk was here bright and early this morning and has been here steadily since he showed up, filling up with peanuts, running back home and coming back for another load. He works fast.
Hopefully others will show up today as well, and every day until I move so I can use up all these peanuts. If they come every day the peanuts will be gone by the end of the month. Speaking of packing. That is about all I think about lately. I even dreamed about packing last night. That is bad. That kind of a dream is a nightmare.

A tiny island in a bay of a larger lake.
I must remind myself to have better quality dreams. I am not even a third packed yet. I need to pick up the pace a bit if I am going to be ready to move the end of the month. I am sorting stuff and tossing things I no longer want and that is slowing down the packing. But it needs to be done. And on a nice day like this I want to spend a bit of time outside trying for pics.
Not much time, but a little. Must try while I have the opportunity. I have lived here for 7 and a half years. Not bad really. At one time I moved, on average, every 14 months, for about 10 years. The longest I have lived at one place is 8 years. The joys of moving! Of course I was younger back then so moving was actually a lot of fun.

One of my geraniums in bright orange.
Not quite as much fun now, but I am still looking forward to this move and getting settled into my new apartment in the sky. It will be quite a change, but change can be a good thing. Well, time to head outside for a little while, then back to packing. Have a funtastic Friday everyone and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
