For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It is cool and cloudy with a fine mist at times. Good weather to be inside packing. If the weather is too nice, then I would rather be outside taking pictures. Which is fine for a quick break, but I tend to spend too much time outside if it is sunny and warm. One problem with this weather, however, is that I get very stiff, like today, so it makes it hard to pack. Oh well. Minor details.
We may get some sunny periods today though, and that would be nice for one of those quick breaks. It is getting a bit crowded in here now. Okay, it usually is a bit crowded, but now it is even worse than normal. I have packed 29 boxes so far, and these are fairly large boxes, except for 3 of them. Yet I look around and still see that I have a long way to go.

A beautiful white peony.
Speaking of birds. They are sure busy out there this morning. But I have only seen one chipmunk so far. A lot of our fall sparrows are coming in now, mostly the White-throated Sparrow which we have around all summer, but there are a lot more around now. I guess our Chipping Sparrows have gone south already, I have not seen them for several days now.

Now a wildflower called Bunchberry.
It certainly feels, and looks, like fall now. The Blue Jays calling is a real fall sound. So many leaves are turning yellow and red now, and blowing off the trees in the wind. It is not whole trees changing color, but so many leaves on the trees changing color. Not good enough yet for pictures though, that will take a while.

Last of the “white” pics for today is the White Pelican.
Mica, my squirrel friend, does not come around much these days for some reason. Usually he shows up in late afternoon, eats a bit, then hauls a few peanuts away and then he is gone until the next day, same time. Very odd the way the squirrels and chipmunks have been acting this year.
I would still like to get a few more pics of them before I move. We shall see. Only 9 days to go. One of the chipmunks is chattering out there right now. Something must have scared him. Well, time for another coffee and get started on more packing. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

We have a pair of cardinals, Louie and Louise, that visit every day. When they don’t show up, we’re concerned. We’ve considered moving but we would miss our feathered friends. Interesting how nature’s gifts make our world go around. 🐦 🐦 ☕️☕️

Our leaves started turning colors last week and like your area, they are falling down. It is cool but hasn’t reached freezing yet. The last couple of years the snow has been here to stay during the third week of September. We do not have long before the white stuff starts falling. Happy packing and seeing your squirrels, chipmunks and birds.

Yep, packing is doing better now, going a bit faster, though I would like to do one more box today yet. Wearing myself out though and collapsing into bed by 9pm each night. But it will soon be done.😊😸🌞

This is definitely the hardest part about moving, but it will soon be over, then comes the unpacking!😀😸

But you will not have the time crunch of unpacking!
