For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone! Well, it is supposed to be sunny this morning but it appears to be quite cloudy. The sun did peek out a couple of times earlier, but then it decided to stay hidden from view. But perhaps that will change soon.
The birds have sure been busy this morning and I took a bit of time to watch them for a while. I saw one chipmunk as well, but I am sure there were at least 2 of them. Coffee has returned the last couple of days, plus there is Little Chipper and Stubby. I have not seen any of the others for several days now.

Hollyhocks are still blooming.
Nice to have all the birds around again before I leave. Hopefully Pocket will stop by for a bit as well. He and Coffee are my two oldest chipmunks. This is the 4th year for both of them. We have had a lot of rain this week, due mostly to thunderstorms Wednesday night.
Poor Muffin did not have a good night and she slept a lot on Thursday because of that. Leaves are really beginning to change color already, a bit earlier than normal. We always get some leaves changing color in August, but this year there is a lot. I noticed two trees that always change color the middle of September, and they have already begun this past week. That is nearly 4 weeks early.

Another one in a different shade of pink.
And it continues to be cool, with temps reaching the mid 60s F, (17-19C) during the day. It is getting hard to walk around in here. I have packed 42 boxes so far, should be about 18 more to go. Or so. Might be less. Or more. We shall see. Muffin is a bit stressed out with all this mess. She likes things to stay the same. I can understand that, I am the same way.

And a cool wildflower, a pink Indian Pipe.
Hopefully all of my helpers will show up on moving day. We shall see. This move is wearing me out. Still 6 days of packing, counting today. Plus other things that I need to do as well. Such as cleaning. Which I am trying to do as I pack. Well, time for more coffee and get packing again. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Indian Pipe is one of my favorite wildflowers and not easy to find. It seems like there is just one thing after another since spring. Lots of adjustments to make in my new place, but we are getting more settled all the time. Thanks Renee! Muffin sends a purr!ππΊβββοΈβοΈ
