    • Thank you Ami! It was a hectic, mixed up day with damaged furniture, me getting hurt quite badly so that I can’t do much at all right now, and poor Muffin being in her cage longer than expected and she is still so jumpy and not settled yet, but she’s getting better, finally sleeping good today. Hope you have a great day Ami!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Έβ˜•β˜•

    • Thanks Katie! It was certainly a hectic, mixed up kind of day. Ended up with damaged furniture and me getting hurt quite badly so I have to take it easy for a while which isn’t easy with all these boxes that need to be unpacked! Have a great day!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Έβ˜•β˜•

    • Thank you Rossana! What a day it was! I am glad it’s all over, it was not a fun day at all. Got some damaged furniture and I was hurt quite badly so now I can’t do much at all for a while. The joys of moving! Have a great day!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • I’m really sorry. I hope you recover quickly and that you are able to find new ideas in your new apartment. I don’t remember if you said it already, is there at least an elevator? I sincerely hope so! I know you have to fix everything right now, but don’t overwork yourself! Have a nice day, see you soon! 😊

      • Thank you Rossana! Hopefully just a couple more days of relaxing and I will be able to get back at unpacking once again. It’s hard to look at all these boxes and not do anything! Yes, there are 2 elevators which is nice. Hopefully I can get back to blogging soon too. Have a great day!😊😸

      • I’m trying to rest, but it’s not working too well. I keep unpacking even though it makes things worse. Sigh. But I am doing it slowly and resting in between boxes. I think Muffin has finally settled down, she is sleeping most of the time, trying to catch up on those first four days when she hardly slept at all. I should try that too. Thank you Rossana!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • I guess it’s impossible to do nothing. If the things you need are in the boxes, you need to empty them…
I hope you will be fine there! Have a great day 😊

      • Yep, that is the problem. The bigger problem is that when I find what I need, I still keep unpacking.πŸ™„ Once I start it’s hard to stop! Until I’m ready to drop, then I stop, and I flop, into bed.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ΉπŸ’€πŸ’€

    • Moving day was rather hectic and mixed up, even got some furniture damaged. Muffin had a very bad day but she is settling in now and she does enjoy lying at the window looking out. I got hurt quite badly so now I can’t do much of anything except look at all these boxes that need to be unpacked! Thanks for the nice wishes, have a great day!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Έβ˜•β˜•

      • Ouf ! It sounds like quite the day. I’m sorry to hear you hurt yourself during the process and that furnitures got damage. Poor Muffin ! It is hard for a cat the sudden change of territory, but at least it sounds like she is better now that she’s getting herself acquainted to her new surroundings. Take care Steve.

      • Thank you Marie-Luce! A couple more days and I should be able to really start unpacking again. Yes, Muffin is sleeping normally now and is enjoying the windows, but she still is jumpy at some of the noises around here. But we will both adjust to these things soon I’m sure. Hopefully I will be back to blogging soon too.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Έβ˜•β˜•

      • I remember the days I moved into the middle of the city and stayed in a Lodge for 3 months, it felt the same. Noisy until midnight. And the sound begins as early in the morning by 3 – 4 am. Living in the city is very noisy .No wonder why you feel yawning at day time πŸ₯±πŸ₯±πŸ₯±πŸ₯±πŸ₯±πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ™€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ™€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ™€πŸ’€πŸ’€

  1. Will we still get pics of the lake or are you moving to higher and drier ground?
Move safely and let the young fella’s move the heavy stuff!

    • There will still be lake and hopefully river picks too, but not so many I guess. I am much further away now and can’t walk to either place now and I don’t drive. But hopefully things will work out.
Thanks C.A., but I did get quite seriously hurt in this move so I am not doing much these days, which is why it’s taking me longer to get back here with posting.
Have a great day, God bless!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Έβ˜•β˜•

    • Well, moving day was rather mixed up and chaotic, worst move I ever had really. But it’s all done, except for the unpacking which is going slowly due to hurting myself rather badly. But I keep at it.
      Have a wonderful day Katherine!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • I see. Maybe because you were too emotionally attached to the old place and it was difficult to let go?

I often feel that way when I want to let go too early or I’m hanging too tight of something I have to let go, God is teaching us valuable lessons πŸ˜….

But don’t stay hurt at home, go and see a doctor and take it easy with the unpacking and all, place yourself first, OK?

Take care and say Hi to Muffin πŸ˜Ίβ€οΈπŸŽ‰

      • No, not attached to the old apartment, though it was a nice place to live. I do miss feeding the birds and chipmunks but I was prepared for that already.

I don’t have a doctor anymore, he closed his practice the end of July, and none of the remaining doctors will see new patients. There are more than 6,000 people here without a doctor right now and no new doctors are planning to come here in the near future.πŸ€”

Because of the lack of doctors, our hospital ER is a terrible place to go also. Waiting time to see a doctor is presently 10 to 12 hours.πŸ˜¬πŸ™€

I am getting better, just slowly, and trying to take it easy, though that part is hard with so much work that needs to be done. I think I need a vacation!πŸ™ƒπŸ˜Ή

Yes indeed, God is teaching us valuable lessons. Sometimes I need a good slap on the head to get my attention it seems. God is so patient and loving with us though.
Thank you Katherine for your concern. Muffin sends purrs to you and Fifi.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • Wow, I’m sorry to hear about that, Steve! Until your doctor’s appointment take good care, take more breaks and don’t push yourself.

This too shall pass and you’ve reached a new level! πŸŽ‰ You should celebrate πŸ₯³

Fifi sends his purrs and happy wishes too, stay safe and warm you too πŸ˜ΊπŸ‚β˜•

      • I don’t actually have a doctor’s appointment, going to the ER is just a sit and wait for a doctor, which is just too long for me to sit there. It would have to be much more serious for me to try that, kind of life or death sort of serious.
Yes indeed, it shall pass, just another step to take to that new level. Always rejoicing in the joy that God gives!
        Have a great weekend Katherine!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, Steve! We also have to sit a lot in line and wait, especially if we’re relying on the state health assurance, those that pay come first – although we already pay for it through our salaries but that’s the deal.

At the end of the day, if you are in line and have rights over others, dare to stand up for yourself, nobody is going to do that.
        😊πŸ’ͺ

      • We don’t have any paid health care here, it is all government health care which is paid through taxes. But our health care is such a mess now that many people go to the US or even Europe to get care where they can pay and get it done quickly.
Hurting myself like this is considered a category C at the ER, so someone with a cold, which is category B, gets in first. Sigh.πŸ™„

      • I’m sorry to hear that. Honestly, I also go and resolve things with pay because you get treated faster and you’re seen. Unless, it’s the terrible cases where you really need them.

What country are you from, Steve? πŸ€”

      • I live in Canada, nearly in the middle (speaking east to west, not north to south), in the province of Ontario, way up in the northwest part of the province where winters are long and cold. But still a beautiful place to live, especially in summer.😊😻🌞

      • I disagree, beauty of natural surroundings is what we see and hear and that affects what we feel. I still maintain this is the most beautiful area in Canada. Others might like somewhere else, that is up to them, everyone likes something different. But be careful that you don’t put people down because of what they like please.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Ίβ˜•β˜•

  3. Steve, glad you got moved but sad you were seriously injured and your furniture damaged. My prayer for you, is by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. The Great Physician attends to your injuries. May you rest and have shalom–nothing broken or missing and be whole and complete.

    • Thank you so much for your prayers! I am slowly getting better, but still moving around carefully and still quite stiff.
Oh my, I had so much broken on this move, more than all of my other moves combined, and that is the truth. The worst was having so much of my family heirlooms broken, but even worse that no one told me about it even though they knew. Oh well, that is how people do things these days it seems. But it would be nice to let me know.
It is nice to be in the new apartment though, Muffin and I are slowly settling in and I will write about it soon. I have just been too tired to post anything lately.
      God bless!πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜»β˜•β˜•

      • Steve, sorry to hear about the family heirlooms being broken and hidden from you. Moving is difficult but I trust you will enjoy not having mold growing in the ceiling. Cities can be noisy but you will get adjusted to it. I continue to pray for you. Jesus is the best healer and I know you do not want to wait to be seen in ER for 10-12 hours. Sometimes, rest is the best for healing. Your blog and audience will still be here for you when you have healed enough to write. You have been through much and have to give yourself grace. Steve, you have been very consistent in writing over the years and a break is not a bad thing. May the shalom or peace of God, make you whole and complete, with nothing broken or missing. πŸ™πŸ˜»πŸ˜Š

      • Yes, this move has certainly been difficult for me, more than any other move. I have already noticed improvement in my allergies which is nice. Our little town is called a city but with only just over 14,000 people it is still small. This street is a major street in town though with lots of large truck traffic besides cars. But yes, I will get used to it after a while.
I think I do need the break from blogging though I do miss it too. I will likely be making some changes though since I no longer have my little friends to talk about.
        Thank you so much!😊😸🌞
