From The Heights. #49 Sad Day.

Good morning everyone! It is a sunny morning here and it is quite mild. Yesterday was very cold, really felt more like a regular December day. Now, back to mild. Then it will be back to cold again for a day, then back to mild. That up and down is hard. It can also get the flu and colds to really spread around. Lots of people are sick in this building right now. 

I am trying hard to stay away from it. I already had one flu, I do not want another one. This would be a great winter for walking down to the river. Unfortunately it is just a little too far away now. The winter of 2020/21 was like this one and I walked to the river 4 or 5 times a week. I would sit on the bench that used to be there and watch the ducks swimming in the river.

We did get some cold weather that winter too, however, we always do, even when it is a mild winter. So I expect we will get some cold days this winter too. But right now it is nice so I will enjoy it. I admit to being sad today. Yesterday I got news that my last brother had died. I lost 2 brothers this year, I have still not gotten over losing my first brother. Now the other one is gone too.

Muffin has just come out of the bedroom and has found her patch of sunshine in the living room. It is fun to watch her sleeping in the sun on the carpet. As the sun moves, she stretches and pulls herself back into the sun. Her eyes do not even open. Sometimes I think she is doing this in her sleep! I should probably go for a walk this afternoon, it was too cold yesterday, plus, Monday is my shopping day. 

Like usual I forgot some things. Seems I always forget one thing, but yesterday I forgot 5 things, plus one item that was not in stock at the moment. Oh well. I will try again later this week. Well, I am back again. I keep stopping and doing something else, then come back again.

Muffin woke up and wanted some lunch. I came back and remembered I wanted more coffee. Got my coffee and Muffin wanted some attention. But now I am back. In time to say good bye for now. Have a wonderful day and God bless!

  3. Steve, may God our Father, the Father of Jesus, compassion and the God of all comfort, comfort you during this time of loss of your second brother this year. May you feel his compassion and love, as he holds you tight, during the night hours, as you miss your brothers. He is catching all your tears in a bottle.
