For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone! I think this is my first Fall Ramblings since we entered October. Not much happens around here which makes it hard to write. How do I write about nothing? I mean, there wasn’t really much to write about before, but at least there was a little. Now there is really nothing. However, yesterday I did see my first chipmunk since moving here. He was in the parking lot behind our building.
It was so nice to see the little critter. I have been out there many times over the summer and never saw a chipmunk, otherwise I would have been out there a lot feeding the little guy. Oh well. Now, if this building was brick I might be able to coax that chipmunk up to my balcony. Okay, that would be a long shot. Still, it might be possible. However, the siding on this building is smooth metal. Not easy climbing for a little chipmunk. Oh well.

I should have bought some peanuts yesterday. I almost did too. For me to munch on. Then I decided not to. Bad decision. I hope you don’t mind my short sentences. I do that sometimes, as you know. And sometimes they are super long. I haven’t done a super long sentence for a long time now. This afternoon I will try to get at repotting some of my geraniums to bring inside for the winter.

My geraniums continue to produce new flowers.
The temperature is going to be a little warmer for a couple of days before returning to cold on Friday. I don’t like repotting the plants when it is cold. Mainly because it is cold. And that makes me cold. And if it’s windy, it can be very cold on that balcony. I need to repot four African violets too. They are indoor plants. One of them is an older plant and is not doing very well, so repotting should help to revitalize it.
It’s good to give plants some fresh soil now and then. Hmm, I also need to get my garbage down to the garbage room this afternoon. Guess I should get that done first. Muffin is enjoying her nap in the sun right now. For some reason she doesn’t like going out on the balcony anymore. Not sure why. She sure liked it this summer.

Of course, it is colder out there now, so maybe that’s it. Oh well, she might come out and help me with the plants later. That is all for now, thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and God bless!
