For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It has been a week since my last Ramblings due to technical issues. Some are computer related, now fixed hopefully. Some are WP related, not fixed as yet. If I have not answered your comments, it is because some comments are coming through saying I have already answered them. Which I haven’t. But it looks like I have. Some issues are me, trying to fix, but it’s slow going.
Muffin’s post hasn’t been around for a while, as you likely have noticed, but she will be back again on Monday. Her funnies post will be on Mondays only until January. Well, we have more snow now with about 8 inches of the white stuff being added to what we already had. Still, that isn’t so bad, we are still behind on our average snowfall for this time of the year. We also had a lot of freezing rain which put a heavy layer of ice over everything just before we got all that snow.

Beautiful frost patterns on the window.
So it is slippery out there, very slippery. I discovered that when I wanted to go for a walk. Sometimes it is best to stay home. That day was one of those times. I ended up hurting my lower back. It is getting better though, slowly. Then it turned cold. Very cold. One morning when I checked the temperature it was -39C (-38F). The next morning it wasn’t much better. And we had freezing fog both of those days too, which just makes things even more slippery out there.

More frost patterns with the sun shining behind.
However, tomorrow and Monday it should be up around 32F (0C), then getting cold again Tuesday. Oh well, it is winter, time to expect these things. Speaking of cold, it does produce some beautiful patterns with frost on windows at times. Which is why the photos I am sharing today. Frost and snow can be very beautiful, but it can also be very dangerous. My little Christmas cactus is doing well and providing me with many flowers right now.
Well, only 2 or 3 bloom at one time, but there are flowers every day. That began a week ago, so that has been a nice Christmas treat. Considering it’s small size, it is doing very well. All of my plants are doing very well right now, which is nice. This apartment is nice and bright, which is great for plants. I would buy more houseplants, but I bring my geraniums inside for the winter and they take up a lot of space.

And more.
I’m trying to decide if it’s worth bringing my geraniums in each winter. They are only outside about 4 months. I will think about it more after Christmas. I will be showing my latest DIY Christmas decoration idea later today or tomorrow. Very simple and quick idea and it looks nice. Well, that is all for today, time for more coffee. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!

The frost pattern pictures are lovely. Be careful on the ice, It can create broken bones. (Pearl)
