For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone and Happy New Year’s Eve to all of you! Strange to think that for so many of you it is already New Year’s Day. We still have a few hours to go before 2025 arrives in this area. Rather than writing a regular post, I am just going to share some, just a very few, of my favorite winter photos from over the last few years. Yep, this guy that loves heat and summer and more heat and more summer, actually has some favorite winter photos. A lot of them actually. It was not easy to pick out just a few. So, I kind of closed my eyes and said, this one, this one and so on. I hope you enjoy them…

A nice place to sit any time of the year and watch the birds and other wildlife.

It was -30F (-35C) when I took this photo at the river.

A slightly different spot along the river. Can you spot the duck?

On this particular winter we had over 10 feet of snow.

Mid day sun shining through the trees.

Snow often gathers in the branches and on more than one occasion it would fall off and land on top of me as I walked past.

This Red Pine just missed me when it dropped a pile of snow.
Well, this is all for this year, though my mystery story post will be out later. I hope to see all of you next year too. Have a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Thanks Mr. Ohh! Muffin and I were going to stay up late, but she couldn’t handle all the excitement of us sitting here looking at each other, so she went to bed!ππΉ
