Hi, hi everyone!😻 It Monday again and that mean it fun time again! It also good day for napping because it cloudy and snowing. Days like that are good days for napping. Sunny days are good days for napping too. Actually, all days are good days for napping. My human not understand this. He thinks daytime is for being awake and doing things. Like vacuuming with noisy machine.🙀 Right when I want to nap. That not nice. I let him know that last time.😾 It only 3 days and he not limping so bad already.😹 Maybe next time he think before bringing out vacuum machine. Anyway, here is fun funnies for today!

One day in the army I was assigned KP duty. I reported to the Mess Hall and was told by the sergeant in charge that he wanted me to make 100 gallons of soup for tonight’s dinner. I told him I didn’t know how to make soup. He quickly handed me a book and told me to follow the directions carefully.

Soon after I had a large kettle of soup simmering. The sergeant came up and tasted the soup. He took a second spoonful and stood there staring at me. I thought I had really messed up the soup and was waiting for a reprimand.

Instead the sergeant said, “This tastes really good… are you sure you followed the recipe?”

On a recent flight, an elderly passenger kept peering out the window. Since it was totally dark, all she could see was the blinking wing-tip light. Finally, she rang for the flight attendant.

“I’m sorry to bother you,” she said, “but I think you should inform the pilot that his left-turn indicator is on and has been for some time.”

Two vultures board an airplane, each carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at them and says, “I’m sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion allowed per passenger.”

Two boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as the lesser of two weevils.

A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. “But why?” they asked, as they moved off. “Because,” he said, “I can’t stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer.”

~ Chocolate is a vegetable: Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.

~ To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is dairy. So candy bars are a health food. Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

~ If you’ve got melted chocolate all over your hands, you’re eating it too slowly.

~ The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car.  The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

~ Diet Tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It’ll take the edge off your appetite, and you’ll eat less.

I wish there was a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence. There’s one called brightness, but it doesn’t seem to work.

That last one must be old joke, me not see knobs on TV anywhere. I ask my human and he say TV used to have knobs. I ask what he do with them. He say TV not have knobs. I tell him he say that TV used to have knobs. He say TV did used to have knobs. I ask again what he did with knobs. He say nothing, TV not have knobs. My human not going to enjoy afternoon.😼😮

    • How come they not have sleeping cat emoji? Cats like to sleep, that why they have term called catnap. Not hear of dognap, or birdnap, there is kidnap though, but I think that different. You should tell people there needs to be napping cat emoji. Humans not understand.😾

  13. Indeed! But I can’t get ahead of things. 1st must sell the place in MN, then narrow the selection of available inventory at that time. But I definitely have decided on the area.

    • Kinda slow. it has started snowing now, might get 4 inches tonight. Then cold weather starts to move in again. I didn’t get much accomplished today, except cooking a chicken, a little cleaning and exercising. I’m tired so will start getting ready for bed. Didn’t get my nap today! Good night, talk in the morning!

    • I did actually sleep very well last night and woke up just before 6. I actually don’t feel tired this morning. How about you? Flying weather today?✈️🤔

      • I slept better also. Woke up around 7:15. No flying today. It’s been and looks to be way to windy to fly even into next week. I need the winds to stay under 10mph to make it any kind of enjoyable activity. But that’s alright. I’ll find other things to do. Maybe go for a walk this afternoon if my feet feel up to it. How about you what are you doing today?

      • I was thinking of a walk today too, but we got 4 inches of snow overnight and it’s still snowing lightly. They haven’t plowed the sidewalks yet so it would be too slippery for a walk. So, I’m going to repot some of my plants today. I have 7 plants that need to be repotted right now so I better get it done. I do this in the kitchen so I will likely need to do some cleaning in the kitchen afterward.😂🙄🪴🌱

    • I don’t think I would want to try eating these plants. They aren’t toxic but I doubt they would taste good. Speaking of eating, I just got my lunch. mmmm! BBQ chicken!😋😻

  18. Yeah, i would like to get it done this late summer or early fall. I’ll look into it more when I’m back up north this spring. It’s really limiting my activities when it comes to walking and exercising.

  19. Yeah, it’s about the size of a golf ball. The biggest thing is it is pulling on the tendons on the arch of my foot and also on the Achilles tendon, making them shorter, which is creating the pain when I walk. I use arch supports but even they aren’t helping much anymore.

  20. Yeah, i know…. it’s just no fun getting carved up again.😒 it hurts, and it’s months of rehab!! Like 3 to 4 months after the Achilles tendon reheals which can take up to 6 to 8 weeks, which is also the time before I put any pressure on my foot. So yeah… 😝

  22. Yep! Better than the pain afterwards. Kinda try’n to figure out today’s activity. Maybe go to the island and enjoy a little sun and watch the waves crashing in. I’m not sure yet though.🤔

    • Sure, try and make me jealous with this tropical hideaway island in the sea. Did you read last night’s story chapter?🤔🕵️‍♂️ I was up at 3:15 this morning again. Did my laundry this morning. I’m still amazed at how many people are up doing things so early in the morning.🤔🙄

  23. That’s what comes with not working a job everyday. Ones days and nights tend to get mixed up. When you wake up you get up. Then your routine starts to get moved around. At least that’s what happens to me. So I try to keep myself up later on those days wake up early so I can sleep later the next morning… I’m not sure it’s working for me though.🫤

    • Yep, that’s for sure. I was used to a routine before and things moved along smoothly. Now I have no routine really and I end up getting nothing much accomplished. Sigh. When I get up early I try not to nap because if I do then I don’t sleep well again. My doctor said that was the wrong thing to do. Better to nap early, like late morning or right after lunch. Then it won’t interfere with sleeping that night. Hard to do though. But now I’m so tired I don’t want to do anything. Maybe I will try some baking this afternoon.🤔

    • Yeah, but I’m not usually tired enough that early although this morning I did nap for nearly an hour. I don’t have any blueberries right now, stores haven’t had any in stock lately. Possibly some kind of cookies, or maybe coffee cupcakes.🤔😊

    • Yep, needed it today for sure, that sun was hot out there. Well, hot in here anyway, not so much outside. Oh, I’m back again. I got the clean sheets on my bed, then the blankets, then I laid down, then I fell asleep. When I woke up it was time to make supper. I wonder if that will interfere with sleeping tonight?🤔🙄🥱

  27. I sure hope not. I started getting a sore throat. I hope it’s just allergies but….😒 sorry I’m late replying, no excuses I just was late… anyway the beach was enjoyable! Filtered sun, there was fog coming off of the water which was cool to see.

  28. No worries… yeah, I have a big white blotch on the back of my throat. I’ll give it a day or two and see if it gets any better before I go see someone. How’s your day?

    • Lots of flu in our town right now, hit our 2 nursing homes bad. But just generally it seems to be getting worse all the time in town. I’ve had better days, that’s for sure, so didn’t get anything done today.

  34. I know, it’s amazing how much stuff one accumulate, i went through my garage last summer and tossed a bunch of stuff that never was used or even looked at for years.

  36. Good day to you also.😁 It’s nice out low 80’s but a little too much wind for flying today. I’m still nursing this sore throat, but it is slowly starting to improve, though h eating is still a bit of a challenge.

    • She sleeping with me on the chair. She sleeping, not me. Me almost sleeping.🥱 Not quite. Almost. Went shopping this morning. Bought couple new plants.🪴🌱 Bought tons of water. Almost froze. Me. Not water.🙄

    • Yes, normally we do get that week of above freezing temps, but there is nothing in the forecast yet, in fact, it’s supposed to get colder by the end of the week. However, on years that we miss that warming trend 9 times out of 10, we get an early spring. I will pick the early spring any time!

    • My feet? Hard to tell, they’re wrapped up in bandages.🙄 It’s a bit cool this morning with a temp of -40! Supposed to warm up to -25 by this afternoon though, then cold again tonight. Sigh.🥶❄️ Oh, good morning, how’s things down in tropical land?

  41. Warm down here 😎 Sounds like the temps are right at average fir you up there. Almost shirt sleeve weather.😂 What’s your plans for today? I’m working on one of my planes today. The one I crashed. I tried to repair it, but I just couldn’t get it the way I wanted it, so I ordered replacement parts.

    • Well, it’s a bit colder than normal for Feb. The maintenance guy has been here today, fixed my toilet finally so it flushes properly. I need to have a new shower installed though but it might take 3 or 4 weeks before that gets done. At least I’m on the list now though. I’m just getting ready to repot some plants, so I’m off until later.😊🪴🌱

    • Yes, very true, the toilet works great now and the shower still works, just a bit hard to turn off the water and the whole thing is corroding a lot.🙄

    • There’s no walking dead people, only ghosts. And there’s only 5 of them. They are quite normal, except for the fact that they are dead.

      Oops, just noticed the time, must get to bed again. Didn’t get my nap today. And I have to be up early again. One of those weeks. Talk tomorrow!😊

  50. Why that’s a tropical heatwave!!🥵😂 No still it’s still to windy to fly. I’m having a disagreement on weather one of my Grandson can come visit. So…😠 I got some sad news on my brother yesterday. It’s sounds as though he’s going to halt his chemo treatment. So I don’t know how long he’ll have after. So I might be heading back north sooner than early May. I’m really struggling with the news, hard to wrap my head around.

    • I’m very sorry to hear about your brother Dusty, these things are never easy.
      This cold weather is supposed to be around for at least another 8 days.
      You don’t want your grandson to visit? He might like the tropical climate. Of course, he might not want to leave.🤔 I’ll be back a bit later, I need my beauty nap.🥱🙄😂
