As we were driving to the airport, Kat contacted Sky again and told her not to continue towards the airport. Aari said it would be too dangerous to sit around at the airport for a half hour or longer waiting for the jet to arrive. It would be a perfect time for Rico to attack us again, and we would be in the open. We don’t want to sit inside the terminal building as that would endanger innocent people, which we definitely don’t want.

So, it was decided to take kind of a round about way to get there and in the process pick up Kat along the way. Plans were made to meet at a specific location in the parking lot of a supermarket. Kat would quickly transfer to our van and we would, both, then drive away fast. It is daylight now and everyone is hoping that Rico and his men would be hiding somewhere and not willing to come after us.

However, Rico went straight home and discovered we had taken Sienna and his new sex slave, Kitty, which turned him absolutely red with anger. He was now more determined than ever to track us down before we had a chance to leave the country. He knew the best way for us to leave was by plane, so he and his men went directly to the airport.

But, before they arrived there, one of his men spotted our vans in the parking lot, just as Kat transferred to our van. Suddenly there were an assortment of cars, vans and trucks, 15 in all, turning into that parking lot. Both of our vans left in a hurry, deciding to stay together for better safety. We put out a call to the others to rejoin us quickly because Rico had found us.

Sherry was driving our van and she must be the wildest driver we have now! “Okay Fluffy,” she said, “time for Plan D getaway!” ‘Me Fluffy, go straight to Parktown Street, not far away, then turn left.” We did that and everyone thought the van was going to tip. One van in Rico’s group did flip right over! That took care of several men anyway.

It might also get the police involved, which may or may not be a good thing. It’s hard to tell whose side they would be on in this situation. So we just figured it’s best to stay away from them. I say “we”, but I’m out of the picture for now, still being unconscious. Kat has stopped the bleeding now, it had already slowed down as Sky was applying a lot of pressure to slow the bleeding.

The wound was right up near the shoulder and unless Kat can do something, I will likely be left with a permanent injury. But what I need right now is blood, unfortunately Dawn has been wounded too seriously, so she will not be able to share her blood with me. So, that leaves only Sky, and she is a ghost, so how can I get blood from her?

Assuming she even has blood now. There are some things about our ghosts that we still don’t know and I have promised not to order them to give their health information to us. “Fluffy say turn right quick!” Suddenly we spun in a complete circle, but we didn’t tip over and we made the turn. A truck and Rico’s group was not so lucky and it ended up rolling several times, finally staying upside down.

“Hey Sherry,” said Sky, “how come you still have Fluffy, I thought you found a cat.” “Well, Carine wanted a cat too,” she replied, “and since she was the only ghost without a cat, it just didn’t seem right for me to get one first. So I let Carine have him. I’ll take the next one.” “Aww, you’re a good girl Sherry,” said Angel. “Hey, watch that,” said Sherry, “I’m a Bad Girl, remember?”

Everyone laughed. It can be good to have some laughter during rough times, and right now we need it. “Can you do something for his arm Kat?” asked Sky, “Or will he lose the use of that arm?” “I think it will be okay,” she said, “though it may not be quite as good as before.” Suddenly there was another sharp turn and the van was on two tires that time.

“I wish we had our own van,” said Sherry, “they are more stable and are better on those sharp turns.” “I wish we had one too,” said Amerie, “I am pale like a, um, a…sheet!” “You were going to say ghost, right Amerie?” asked Angel. “Well, um, maybe, uh, sort of, a little,” she replied, somewhat embarrassed. “Suzette,” said Kat, “look in my backpack and pick out a few gifts for Rico.

She quickly did so and Chloe opened the back doors of the van. Rico’s lead car swerved quickly out of the way, but the car behind his had the gifts land right on the hood of the car, destroying the whole car and causing the one behind it to crash. Then the rest of the team came along, pulling in behind Rico’s men, then driving up alongside and shooting out the side door.

Soon Rico and his remaining men turned off, quitting the chase. But, did they go back home or did they take another way to the airport, hoping to get there first? I guess we will find out. It was now time for us to make our way to the airport. When we arrived our jet was already waiting for us, with Aari and his team just going on board. We quickly drove up to the jet and everyone boarded the plane.

Soon the jet was heading down the runway and we were in the air, heading away from trouble. Hopefully, anyway. We still had wounded people to deal with, including me. Kat asked Al, the pilot, to hook us up to Jennifer. We had a large screen in the main room and Jennifer soon showed up on that screen.

“Steve needs blood,” said Kat, “without it he will not make it home alive. But Dawn is too seriously wounded and she is the only one with the right blood type. I can help her, but it will likely be too late to help Steve. Sky is the only other one, but you know the dangers involved. Without Sky’s blood, Steve dies. With Sky’s blood he has a 50% chance of survival, but we still don’t know what that means exactly.

We need your approval and Bridgette can start the blood flowing.” “Do it Kat,” she said, “at least Steve has a chance this way. But remember the rule, not if it means Sky will die.” “Nothing to worry about Jennifer,” said Kat, “Sky won’t die from this.” Bridgette then began to let Sky’s blood flow to me…

  1. What an exciting escape from Rico. It was surprising that he didn’t make it to the airport. Guess his team took too many hits. But a large cartel has many resources.

    Hope Steve makes it with a transfusion from Sky. This was definitely a very dangerous mission.

    • Yes, he was unable to regroup fast enough, most likely, to attack us again. He would need to get more men together for sure. Yes, we may not be rid of Rico just yet, and there is his older brother Carlo as well. We will need to be careful for a while, even once home.

      Will that transfusion from Sky even work? This is something we have not tried before and her blood may no longer be compatible, even if it’s still the same blood type. We shall soon see what happens.🤔👩😾👻🕵️‍♂️

  2. That was a close call!🫣 They almost got you that time! But, doing a transfusion with a ghost well…. that could turn you into a ghost yourself, what does that mean? Are you alive but dead or dead and still alive? Can you still have kids, will they be ghosts too👻👻 this could go badly 😬

    • This is a tough choice, do I live or die? Without blood, I die. Dawn is the only one with my blood type and she is wounded and needs her blood. With blood from Sky, maybe I will live, but live how? As the usual me or as a ghost? Can I even be a ghost without going through all the proper procedures? At least we know that Sky has blood, but it could kill me. Kids are out of the question anyway, but we have 3 already, all adopted. However, this could be the end of Steve.🤔👩😾👻🕵️‍♂️

  5. Hi Steve, sorry I’ve been missing in action. It’s been one disaster after another since I got back here.🤪 It seems letting my daughter use my house was a bad or should I say a poor decision on my part. All I had was a lot of work and clean up. Now that the cleanup is mostly done the rest of the finish work to make the place sellable needs to get done. This retirement stuff is for those who have more time than I do. I know I missed you tonight so I’ll say goodnight and hope to catch you tomorrow after your laundry is done.😉 I hope to chat with you then.

    • Hey Dusty! I missed you today, though I’m here now if you’re around. I haven’t been well for a couple days so I haven’t been on much, nothing today. Sorry to hear your house was a mess, hard to understand things like that, why people don’t look after things better, especially when it’s your own daughter.   7. getting better, and getting caught up some! I’m truly sorry I haven’t been able to chat. All this stress here has also got me not feeling well also. But! Today, I’m feeling better with more energy mentally and physically. You, certainly don’t need a bad mental outlook from me adding to your tough days. Speaking off better…. how is the climate these days? Is it starting to warm any?

    • Actually sometimes it can be good to talk about things, or just talk about other things. I’m having a great day, the weather is fantastic, it was 77 yesterday, should hit at least 82 today, though tomorrow will only be 60. But it will gradually warm up throughout the week. Beautiful weather really. I was out for a bit after shopping this morning, too nice to stay inside all day. I’m going to clean up the balcony this afternoon and hopefully they will come and fix things out there soon. It’s only been 5 weeks since I asked them. Sigh. The owners of this building have now started to shut off the hot water between 11pm and 6am, to save money apparently. They didn’t tell us however, they just started doing it. Sigh.

    • Yeah, I’m up early and like to shower first thing, so that’s before 6, but now I can’t. I do not like cold showers! They raise the rent and give us less. Some people have told me they are getting rent increases of 10 to 15% this year. I will find out sometime in June how much my rent will go up. All old age pensions are being cut by $50 per month, beginning in July too.🙄

    • Yep, we get enough cold around here, no cold showers for this guy. I was out on the balcony doing some cleanup, now I’m tired. It was nice out there though. Muffin enjoyed helping too.😃😼

    • We just finally get some sunny warm days and you want me to stand behind a screen?🤔 Oh, I’m back, finished cleaning the balcony, then had a short nap, then made supper which I am now eating!😃

  12. Oh wow! Look at you getting stuff done …🙄 I wish I could do that much stuff accomplished in an afternoon. I had to replace a part under my truck today and that didn’t go well physically…🥵🤕 I ended up with a horrible headache and being nauseated 🤢 but I feel better now.

    • Hmm, my notifications bell is not working again, so I missed your comment. Also comments don’t show up unless I refresh my page every 10 minutes. Sigh. It’s hard to remember these things. Sigh. That doesn’t sound like much fun at all. Retired guys are supposed to play golf all day until the heat causes them to fall into a sand trap where they walk around for years trying to figure out how to get out of that huge desert! Periodically they get hit on the head by a golf ball which only makes things worse.🙄😂😹

    • They certainly need something, it used to be better 5 years ago than it is today. And if I had a problem, they would fix it right away, now when I have a problem they have no idea what to do. Sigh. I’m very tempted to quit blogging, I really am. Not just for that reason though.

    • I would miss it for sure, but I have run out of things to write about. I don’t get out much anymore, I have only used my camera twice this year, I used to take pictures every day. Oh well, I do enjoy it still.😊

  18. That’s not good. I just got in from putting my planes away. I went flying for a couple of hours today. Now I need to line up a company or my grandsons to install the dock. My son-in-law (or X now) said he would do it, and yesterday said he decided not to. Sigh…😒 oh well..

    • Hmm, I have known people like that too. They say, yes I will do that, until the time comes, then they decide against it. I would prefer to have people say no right from the start. Oh, flying time, too windy here, 30mph wind from the north. Might make it to 62 today.

  19. That’s kinda weird 😳 it’s 82 and sunny with very light breeze. Huh…
    Yeah, he’s been very erratic since this all began. I thought at the time he offered that he would most likely not follow through, so I have the name of a company that does installs. I called them today and am just waiting for a call back from them.

    • That’s the weather we had yesterday. Tomorrow will be cool again, then it begins to warm up on Thursday. That warm weather on the weekend really made things pop though, there is even some green showing up on the trees already. So nice. Just wish I could get out and get some pictures.😃📷

    • Yes, that is the down side. I need to go outside for a while, my neighbors are having a smoke in and my eyes are burning. I’ll be back a bit later.

    • Well, the moon is at 11pm, kind of odd since it’s only 8. Either the moon is fast or the earth is slow, or perhaps the earth is slow and the moon is fast. Oh well, time to get ready for bed, kind of anyway, time to cut off my screen time so I can sleep better. It doesn’t work, but I keep trying, my doctor says it should work. Sigh. I shall be back in the morning to chatter!😃

  28. Yes, it’s beginning to become more still and clear skies with a nice Robins egg blue color to it. I might need to go do a bit of flying later this afternoon 🤔 hard to let these nice days go by without taking advantage of the quiet winds. So, what’s your plans for today?

    • I think I might start planting my geraniums out on the balcony this afternoon. Shouldn’t have to worry about frost now and it’s easy to cover them if we do get a frosty night.

  32. I am good! Today will be a great weather day here. It’s a bit windy, but that’s alright. I have to go get my pontoon out of storage today, and then on Monday, they will come and install the dock. So, a few busy days ahead, but not too bad. I have not read Chapter 6 yet. But I will get to this afternoon.

    • Yeah, windy here too, bringing in that warm weather! There’s a couple eagles floating around out there right now. Moving too fast for a picture though. Hard to get pictures of birds looking up like that anyway. Sounds like you’ll be having some fun coming up. Nice weather for it too.😃

  35. This just arrived again! An hour late…
    That’s ok, I’ve been out getting things prepared for the dock install on Monday. Then ate, then went to the DG Market and a car wash, then to the hardware store and put the cover on the pontoon!🥵 but Im here..

    • Are you here now? Wow, how do you manage to do all that while you’re eating? Did we ever have some cool clouds a few minutes ago, like round puffballs. We’re supposed to get thunderstorms tonight. That’s not good, it means lightning and that means fires. It’s extremely dry right now and we already have fires. We had thick smoke all day yesterday.

    • Yep, mainly hot and dry this coming week, but the following week will be cooler with at least one day of rain. Much too nice to stay inside and make cupcakes!😃

    • It was mostly cloudy today actually though we did have a bit of sun early this afternoon. I was inside all day anyway, so it really didn’t matter too much. You do have a good point there!😎🌞

      • Not as warm as they said, only 75 right now, but it is very humid. Turned out to be cloudy instead of sunny, guess that’s why it’s not so warm. It was very windy, but only a breeze now. I was out on the balcony enjoying the nice weather.

    • Well, the sermon was about mothers today, though I guess there are always things to learn anyway. Still, what wasn’t about mothers was about families, so I was out again. Oh well, it was good anyway.😃 Happy special day to you tooooo!😊🌞😎

    • Yep, shopping bright and early. Smoke in the air again, so many forest fires now. There were 3 fires on Friday, today there are 35, even more in Manitoba next to us, several communities are being evacuated there.🔥

    • We’re just supposed to get a possibility of scattered showers, although next Monday the forecast is for an inch of rain. That would be nice, although it’s going to be cold, a high of only 50 that day! Actually, after Wednesday our daytime highs for the rest of the month will only be upper 50s to low 60s. But even that will help with the fire situation. Hey, if ya get enough smoke they won’t be able to see the tariffs!🔥😃🙄

    • No, I got smoke from the new apartment instead. My new neighbor is indigenous and she does smudging. Talk about thick smoke!
      I don’t know if you had time to read chapter 6 yet, but I just posted chapter 7. We’re closing in for the final showdown after they killed me! oops, forget I mentioned that they killed me, that’s in chapter 6. 😬🤔🕵️‍♂️

    • Sounds good. Very windy up here today, but once again not as hot as they had forecast. But it’s cloudy again which keeps things cooler. Got my shopping done. Bought a bunch of potting soil so I can refresh my outdoor pots a bit. I’ll do that this afternoon.

  47. Hi! Ugh… what a day! Now that the dock and boat are in the steps going down to the lake, it needs leveling and resupporting.🥵 I worked on it for most of the morning and just plain over did it in the sun and heat 🥵 so I took the pontoon out for a nice slow cruise. I saw an Eagle in a tree about 50 feet away. It was very exciting. Now I have to get ready for our monthly flying club meeting at 7 tonight. But I will look for you after I get back. Around 8, I hope.🤞

    • I’m here, are you here too? Another hot and sunny day. A forest fire started up about 25 miles west of us late Monday afternoon. It is now 57,529 acres! Cooler weather with some showers is coming up so that will help. Thousands of people have been evacuated.😬🔥

  50. Hi! Tardy again sigh 😕 I did get a little crispy, not terrible, though. I did a little flying off of my dock and then had dinner at the restaurant on the lake. Then went for a cruise around the lake with the top up! Otherwise, I would be well done with a fork 🍴 in me on a platter! That’s very sad so many people have had to be evacuated. I can’t imagine the emotional stress that must cause.

    • Good morning Dusty! What happens if you crash into the lake? Wouldn’t the plane sink? Or does it have floats? Yeah, being evacuated is no fun at all. I have had to be evacuated a couple of times because of fires. They found 2 people dead yesterday in that fire. The one closest to us is now over 100,000 acres, but it’s still 20 miles away.🔥😬
