For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! Here we are, the beginning of another new week and almost the middle of another month. The fall colors are really popping out now and hopefully I can get out to capture some of those fantastic colors very soon.
The fall season always seems to come so quickly, with colors exploding on the vast scene around us. Some trees are totally clothed in bright yellow, while some are basically cut in half with yellow on one side and green on the other. But, more on all that later.

The stump of a small aspen tree cut down by a beaver using his teeth.
Today I have another photo, actually two of them, from our last trip along the highway, I would include this one as one of those oddities in nature, the stump of what was an aspen tree that had been cut down by a beaver. Here we see his tooth marks on the stump as it sliced away, little by little, until the tree fell.

Here are some chips of wood that the beaver cut out of the tree.
Then he obviously hauled it away to his little home somewhere on the lake. Perhaps he has begun storing his winter supply of food already. Whatever the case, he left us his sculpture to enjoy. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
