  1. Good Morning? You must’ve really slept in today!!😂 No, no flying today. Shopping for materials for a plane stands and then building it until just right now. I’m pretty much finished with it, but there’s a few more little things to finish, maybe tomorrow. 🤔 How’s Steve’s world today?

    • I think my knights and sights are mixed up a little. Ooo, shopping time, good idea. Kinda dull up here, though still very mild. We had snow pellets last night the size of peas, battering against my windows. The evening checkup nurse just left, they are short staffed right now, that flu is knocking them down, it’s really bad up here, so are measles cases.😬🤒

    • Measles has really made a big comeback here in Canada the last few months. We had irradicated it here way back, but when that happened a lot of people decided that getting vaccinated wasn’t necessary, so we have a whole new generation now that is mostly unvaccinated. A lot of young adults are getting it since they were not vaccinated as kids. It just recently arrived here in our town. I know a young family where the kids and parents got it. The mom was particularly hit hard with it.

  2. Yeah… not good 😬 So, help me learn something about measles. I know you get dots or sores or something, but does it come with a high fever or what cause it to be such a feared thing. I think I remember that girls can have trouble when they have children or birth defects?? I can’t remember all the details.

    • Yep, it produces those red spots, or splotches really. It does come with a very high fever which can last for many days. It can cause learning difficulties in kids, very serious difficulties, yes it can cause complications for birth or make it impossible to get pregnant, for boys making it impossible to produce sperm. That’s especially true for older boys or teens. But that’s mostly for worst cases, such as hospitalizations. It can also weaken immune systems for life and other health complications as well. It’s actually best if kids get it at a young age, usually less problems, it’s worst for older teens or adults, they can be sick longer which raises the risk of other complications.

  3. Yeah, I guess just get the shot… it’s been around long enough with enough history to show it’s safe. Anyway, have you been out getting any pictures lately?

    • No, haven’t really gotten any pictures at all since summer. We had several nice big bucks around town here this fall, but the only time I saw them was when I didn’t have my camera. Sigh.

  4. I think they have a sense for that…😂 it’s still fun to see them though. We saw a Nilgai (I think i spelled it right) at the air field yesterday. It looked like a cross between an antelope and an Elk. Very odd looking animal .

    • Good morning Dusty, sorry I haven’t been around, but my health has been giving me problems the last couple of days. I’m here if you’re around and want to talk.🙂☕☕

  5. Hi, no worries. I know how it can go. I hope you’re feeling kinda better. I’ve just been chipping away on my newest airplane build. I’m getting a bit frustrated 😠 with it. I’m right at the end, and when I try to finish it up I do something that needs correcting so it never seems to get completed.😏 Oh well, that’s why it’s fun! Right?🤔

    • Yep, hobbies are fun and frustrating too! Like me trying to get a photo of this beautiful dragonfly last year. Several tries to get close and when I finally did get close enough, it flew away! Nevermore to be seen. Sigh.🙄📷

    • Yep, they come every day. Sunday they are actually here 3 times, morning noon and evening. One should be showing up soon. The one this morning was someone new again, the one tonight will be the same as the one last night.

    • Yep, they have an office in our building here too, plus one in the apartment building next to this one. Between the two buildings there are several people who get help from these nurses for different things. Plus they are actually have a couple on call at night too so if I needed help at night I just press a button and someone will be here in 10 to 20 minutes.

    • Aside from being sore and tired, I’m not too bad. It’s cold today. Went shopping today, nothing exciting, but it was cold. Slipped and nearly fell which is why I’m sore. It’s cold today.

  6. Ya know I heard it was gonna be cold up there today. Is it?
I’m gonna switch to a different thread if that’s ok? This one I need to scroll a long way down everytime.
